Santa and Workshop 2026.8 are out. Santa has always answered "what is allowed to run." This release adds "when." One rule can allow an app during working hours and block it the rest of the week, with an optional kill when the window closes. northpole.security/blog/release...

In the next version of Santa, when paired with Workshop you'll be able to specify process tree relationships in a CEL rule. This lets you mark executables as not usable by processes or require TouchID from the user e.g. here's an example of us preventing Claude Code from running curl w/o TouchID.

We've released v2024.12 of Santa. github.com/northpolesec... This addresses an upgrade issue when running in lockdown mode and also a minor issue where a root user is able to inject rules when it is configured to use a sync service is configured.
