Kinanaskomitinow to my relatives at Frontier School Division for all of the amazing work you do in Northern Manitoba, educating and caring for those students and their families! Our communities are stronger because of the work you do. Thank you for welcoming me as your keynote speaker today! 🌟

Earlier this month I celebrated 10 years of human rights work at the Canadian Museum For Human Rights. It was an honour to speak on a panel about how I once protested the museum and now walk with them frequently. Plus getting interviewed by @strombo.bsky.social was pretty damn awesome too 🌟

I want to thank my sister @treenster.bsky.social for bringing this number to my attention: 1,061. That's how many recommendations have been put forward by commissions and inquiries over the last 30+ years. They aren’t that different from commission to commission, even from decade to decade. 1,061.

This is my first kids book We Need Everyone! 🌟 it was published earlier in 2024 by Highwater Press and was illustrated by the legendary Tiff Bartel! It also comes with a free teacher's guide and I have developed a Self Care Plan I'm excited to share too! 📚
