Easily my all time favorite, laughed to myself just now when I brought it up even though I knew what it was and had already seen it dozens of times

Would love to know how famously famously protective sports teams and associations feel about ICE using their trademarked logos to celebrate the destruction of communities
Detail of a photo of challenge coins found inside an ICE vehicle in Minneapolis. Picture is of an upside down coin face with the Milwaukee Brewers’, Green Bay Packers’, and University of Wisconsin logos with a forth logo obscured by the bag on top of the coin.

How dare ESPN classify this as Clark approving of the aquisitions! Looking at the quote this seems to be typical editorials rather than a reflection of Clark's attitude about it, but she is lucky to be playing with these talents that built the league not the other way around. Do better ESPN
ESPN Headline: Caitlin Clark offers ringing endorsemebt of Fever's offseasonSnippet from ESPN article: And then the franchise brought in WNBA champs DeWanna Bonner and Natasha Howard.

The team welcomed Bonner on Monday, and Clark was there to give a ringing endorsement of the offseason moves.

"They know what it takes to win, they know what it takes to get to the Finals, they know what it takes to win championships," Clark said, referring to the newcomers. "I think it's exactly what we needed in our locker room. But also they're not just really good basketball players, they're great leaders and great people and I know the front office prioritized that."

Article Continued: In July 2019, New London police inadvertently captured a man fleeing from ICE agents outside New London Superior Court. The man was seen running from “tactically dressed individuals” who police officials said were not recognized as ICE agents. Police officials later said ICE did not inform them of any enforcement activity planned for that day in the city.

Passero reminded residents that they possess basic rights, regardless of their immigration status, including the right to remain silent; the right to refuse to sign documents; the right to a lawyer; the right to make a phone call; and the right to request a bond hearing.End of article: the right to request a bond hearing.

Passero said if ICE attempts to enter a school, they must show a judicial warrant signed by a judge for a specific person or item.

Superintendent Cynthia Ritchie said she was also made aware ICE agents were in the city, but none were at any New London schools.

ICE officials could not be reached to comment on Monday.

Police Chief Brian Wright confirmed his dispatch center was contacted by ICE but could not say the last time the department fielded such a call.

“We have no information on if anyone was targeted by ICE or taken into custody,” Passero said. “The only credible report we have is that three men wearing coats with ICE on the back were seen at the 7/11 on Broad Street on Monday.”

Passero said other reports, including that of ICE agents conducting mass arrests on Briggs Street,

were not credible.Article Continued: were not credible.

“I think the hysteria is going to mount,” Passero said. “There’s going to be people with bad intentions spreading misinformation and stoking fears.”

Since taking office this month, President Donald Trump has made the arrest and deportation of undocumented immigrants his administration’s priority.

“We’re in uncharted territory now,” Wright said.

Police in Norwich, Montville, East Lyme and the Town of Groton said they were not contacted by ICE personnel on Monday.

Jeanne Milstein, New London’s director of human services, said she can’t recall the last time ICE agents were reported in the city.

Passero and Wright said the city is playing no role in the apprehension of ICE suspects, including interfering with their actions.
