Following our joint investigation with @theins.press which identified Harxon as a supplier of navigation antennas for Geran/Shahed drones, the UK has sanctioned the company this week for its support of the Russian military.

7/ Harxon is not under restrictive measures in spite of its key role in Russian drone production and maintains distributors in 27 countries, including the United States, France, and the UK. It also participates in international trade fairs, such as XPONENTIAL 2026 in Germany.

6/ Despite the apparent separation between NavX and Harxon, Anthony Zheng is listed on Harxon's made-in-china.com site as the contact for the company's overseas sales department, and is featured in photos posted by Harxon online.

5/ In conversations with an undercover journalist, NavX representative Anthony Zheng confirmed the company was working with the Alabuga drone plant, where the majority of Geran drones are manufactured.

4/ These antennas are sold by Harxon through a shell company called NavX. "We will use other company for communication and contract signature (not Harxon) because it's sensitive," said Masha Wu, an overseas sales manager at Harxon.

3/ Posing as a Russian military contractor, we placed an order for 200 antennas. The exact models offered by the company are found in downed Russian drones — still labeled as "agricultural machinery antennas" to bypass Chinese export controls.

2/ Russia's Geran drones navigate to their targets using Controlled Reception Pattern Antennas (CRPAs). These allow drones to resist electronic warfare by blocking jamming signals. Without them, Gerans cannot strike with precision.

Geraniums in Bloom: How a Major Chinese Antenna Manufacturer Powers Russia’s Drone Fleet
This investigation was conducted in collaboration with The InsiderIt is no secret that Russia's "Geran" drones, long associated with strikes on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, are based on Iran's "Shahed" drone models. Less publicly acknowledged is the critical role Chinese companies play in their production. Posing as a Russian military contractor, Nordsint spoke with representatives [...]

From Wagner to the Ministry of Defense: Who Recruits Russians for the “Africa Corps” -
Following the 2023 death of Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, Russia's Ministry of Defense (MOD) moved to replace Wagner’s operations in Africa with a new unit known as the Africa Corps. The Corps has effectively taken over many of Wagner's former positions on the continent, absorbing not only its former mercenaries but also its recruiters. These former Wagner recruiters have updated their social media profiles and are now calling on others to join the MOD’s “elite unit.” This joint investigation between Nordsint and Verstka reveals who is sending Russians to the Africa Corps, what they are promised in return, and the fate of remaining Wagner members in Africa.
