On the spectrum and working in IT? We think that especially in IT, research is still too often done about you rather than with you. @svenapel.bsky.social @janetsiegmund.bsky.social & Isabella Graßl #Neurodiversity #Autism #ComputerScience

🏆 Saarbrücken now houses 11 ACM Fellows — about 1/3 of all ACM Fellows in Germany — highest of any location nationwide. This year, only 3 new Fellows in Germany were named, and Saarland University software engineering professor Sven Apel was one! Congrats, Prof. Apel! 👏 🔗 Read more: sic.link/apel
Photo of Prof. Dr. Sven Apel wearing glasses and a maroon polo shirt, standing with arms crossed against a light wall with sunlight casting striped shadows. Saarland Informatics Campus logo rests at the top left, while the Saarland University logo rests on the top right. A banner at the bottom reads: “Sven Apel becomes the 11th ACM Fellow of Saarbrücken.”

Been having a splendid time at #ICSE2025, where I presented our paper on "programmer's block", joint work with @norbertsiegmund.bsky.social, @janetsiegmund.bsky.social. Interested in learning how problem's from software developers compare to writer's block? Check out the paper → rdcu.be/ektLk

When doing research for AI Engineering, I went through so many papers, case studies, blog posts, repos, tools, etc. This repo contains ~100 resources that really helped me understand various aspects of building with foundation models. github.com/chiphuyen/ai...

Ever encountered a block during programming? Stared at a blinking cursor in your IDE for hours? You can hear all about the research on programmer's block by @janetsiegmund.bsky.social, @norbertsiegmund.bsky.social and me at #icse2025, as we have been accepted to present on the journal-first track.
