我正享受着在巴西的时光。我下周会回到美国。(Basically what I said was I’ve been enjoying my time in Brazil and I’ll be back in the US next week).

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

It’s gonna be a short one since I am flying to Brazil tomorrow.

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Finished writing this page. Been writing down the few characters that I don’t have yet from the practice sentences or I haven’t made a mental movie scene for them yet.

Mandarin Blueprint at the beginning of phase 3 showed the following sentence to indicate your progress, "我早上骂了我的儿子". I can actually read that! It basically says “Early in the morning, I scolded my kid”.

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Uh, holy crap. 124 characters currently under my belt, and now the true chaos begins.

Today is where I’m going to be working six straight days in a row, five of those days I will be working from 12:30 PM to 9 PM. Except this Sunday where I’m only working from 12 PM to 5 PM. I really want to get at least one or two streams in before I go to Brazil in September.

I’ve gotten pretty far in my studies. I can now physically write 105 different characters in the proper stroke order and have full comprehension of the pronunciation with the tones and the definitions.

010

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

I’m quite proud of myself. I currently know how to write 86 different Chinese characters by hand in the proper stroke order with full comprehension and pronunciation along with tones.

Backstory about the new model. The art on the left is the original design created by @kiwiscorner.bsky.social which I gave her full creative freedom to create it based off of my voice and personality. She did a perfect job. And then I used the 2wintails model to recreate it best I can.

I’m sorry for not streaming anywhere near as much as I want to. Inconsistent scheduling at my retail job, managing my own hobbies and wellbeing, along with hanging out with friends, it’s a lot to balance. But I feel like I am close to developing a system that works for me.

010

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

The chicken noodle soup that I made in my wok.

000

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Huh… I’ve been at level 5 on Mandarin Blueprint for a little while now and I didn’t think to look to claim my free shirt.

000

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

Just a heads up everyone. Tomorrow 6:30pm;18:30EST. I’ll be streaming, and then at 9:00pm;21:00EST, we will raid into LilaoftheWind, where me and her community will be playing Meecha Chameleon.

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

Everything was on sale and since I spent over $75, I got a free Gyokuro. This will last me a month before I have to restock XD

010

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 05/06/2026

This Monday I don’t know which time yet. I will be over on celestial’s channel, teaching her how to play Yu-Gi-Oh! She’s definitely worth following. twitch.tv/observethece...

ObserveTheCelestial - Twitch

You can be kind and you are awesome. Please remember that. Hello! I am the Celestial! I run the Celestial Circus in my own little universe. Would you like to attend a show?

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 11/05/2026

I’m very happy. My quarterly tea subscription box arrived.

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 07/05/2026

Little bit of Mandarin studying before work and I like using Siri voice dictation to make sure my pronunciation is correct. I said to it, 她是不是你的妈妈？is she your mother? But instead it gave me, 他是不是你的妈妈？is he your mother? That is progressive of Siri but not the answer I was looking for XD

010

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 04/05/2026

Yes, I will be streaming that day. Don’t know which time XD

022

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 01/05/2026

My Japanese green teas (Gyokuro) came in. And I got a free kyusu with it.

010

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 30/04/2026

FBFQGQFJEYKE!!!!!! Red Note (xiaohongshu 小红书) just released an update this month where I can now as an American, buy stuff directly on the app!!!

010

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

Yup, I did it. Japanese green tea, Gyokuro specifically is what I drink in the morning before going into work. The premium price tag is more than worth it. The caffeine peared with the calming effect is perfect for my physically intensive retail job.

020

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 11/04/2026

I BEG YOUR FINEST DUCKING PARDON!!!! ALDI has cheese curds and they are eight dollars cheaper compared to the ones that I get. If my local one has this, then this is a game changer.

010

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 06/04/2026

Now the reason why the shipping is expensive is because I chose the option for it to be here in two days. I ran out of Gyokuro and I need that type of tea in particular for the caffeine to help me get through work.

010

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 02/04/2026

I had fun hanging out with good people in discord vc.

This is what I just got done doing. These are digital flashcards for the Mandarin tone pairs that you have to mimic. So you can hear the different tones along with the different pinyin pronunciations. Out of 246 different flashcards, I got tripped up on 30 of them.

020

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 22/03/2026

Hah… I can’t believe I finally did it.

230

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 22/03/2026

Poutine. Took me 15 minutes to eat the whole thing. I’m so full!!!

020

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 05/03/2026

I had cheese curds and gravy at home so I decided to quickly go to McDonald’s to get two large fries and I made a makeshift McDonald’s poutine for myself.

010

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 03/03/2026

Valentine’s Day cherry strawberry ring pops. They were on clearance 22 cents each. I bought 50 of them so I essentially got 50 cherry strawberry ring pops for $11.

What I do IRL before going into work. I will take my medication, drink some Japanese green tea, and then study Mandarin. As you can see here, I have a daily flash card app along with the video course and then use the hanzi app for practicing my typing and pronunciations.

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

Currently on BiliBili watching Yu-Gi-Oh duel monsters in a Mandarin dub. This is so much fun. It’s Japanese visuals, but the audio and subtitles are all in Chinese/Mandarin.

010

Nora Belle @norabellerose.bsky.social · 15/02/2026

I found cheese curds early! I had to do it, I made a simple poutine. Haven’t had any since I got back to the states five months ago. It was so good!!! I’M SO HAPPY!!!!
