On January 19, 2025, Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) Khuzdar Zone organized a mobilization program at Shaheed Razzaq Chowk as part of its campaign leading up to Baloch Genocide Remembrance Day on January 25. The event was addressed by BYC Central Organizer Dr. Mahrang Baloch, who reflected on the significance of the location named after Professor Abdul Razzaq. She noted that this symbolic site has long been a place where oppressed families share their pain and seek justice.

During her speech, Dr. Mahrang mentioned that while the family of Saadullah could not attend, they sent a picture of their missing son to remind everyone of their demand for justice. She pointed to the presence of Kabir’s mother, urging participants to feel the anguish of mothers waiting for their sons' return for years.

She emphasized that these mothers did not lose their children to natural disasters but to state-sponsored repression. Recalling the brutal killing of Shaheed Abdul Rasool, whose chest was riddled with bullets and inscribed with "Pakistan Zindabad," she questioned whether such brutality could ever represent life. She stated that tyranny cannot thrive forever and that state violence has turned the entire Balochistan region into a military garrison.

Dr. Mahrang highlighted the significance of January 25, marking the discovery of mass graves in Tutak, where the remains of Baloch victims were unearthed. She explained that this day was declared Baloch Genocide Remembrance Day to ensure future generations know how their rights were denied. Areas like Tutak, Zehri, and Wadh were depopulated of their Baloch inhabitants through systematic violence.

She also shared the grief of Zakir’s mother, who is moved to tears upon seeing Khuzdar, lamenting the loss of conscience in a place where people betray their principles for a few coins. She cited a family in Zehri receiving their son's remains in a plastic bag. The rally planned for January 25 in Dalbandin will honor the martyrs of Tutak and…On January 19, 2025, Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) Khuzdar Zone organized a mobilization program at Shaheed Razzaq Chowk as part of its campaign leading up to Baloch Genocide Remembrance Day on January 25. The sit-in by Diljan Baloch’s family in Awaran symbolizes the resilience of those fighting against enforced disappearances. It’s time for the district administration to act and for society to stand united in solidarity. #ReleaseDilJanBaloch
