During the Volpe fan interference review my brain thought of the line "baseball is designed to break your heart" from Bart Giamatti (remember when we had a commissioner who actually was a baseball fan?). He was talking about the game we love, the sport itself that we grew up learning and playing.

Well I would have said Lost except I’m nearly done watching it a second time now with my kids and now feel like my original assessment of that show was not particularly thoughtful. It really does hold up better in a binge watch scenario.
