I've been saying since the jump that there are two ugly possibilities* due to ICE's tactics. One is someone(s) dress up as ICE agents and kidnap some random person off the street. The other, someone carrying a gun for self protection uses it b/c of the lack of badges, etc on their attackers

Maybe because I'm a (recovering) lawyer, but this is what happens when judicial independence begins to erode. Madison's vision of "independent tribunals of justice" serving as "an impenetrable bulwark against every assumption of power in the legislative or executive" evaporates. We risk mob rule.

So lemme' see if I've got this right... A state has a law. A person acts in a way that appears to violate that law. Another person goes to court and asks it to examine the facts, apply the law to those facts, and make a decision. And the court says "Not our problem. You two sort it out." Really?

A small but significant number of people have a phobia of needles that, in some cases, is so severe they will avoid getting vaccines, etc. Media continues to run stock photos of needles being pushed into arms, as with this story. Please stop. It's counterproductive and unneccesary for the content.
