❌ The Met say this is a trafficking investigation. Then it cannot begin and end with one department store. 🌎The allegations span five decades, multiple locations and international borders. To shortcut that investigation is to abandon justice.

Thank you @wendychambld.bsky.social for raising this important issue. Trust in policing is at critically low levels with only around a third of around 500 Fayed survivors reporting to Operation Cornpoppy.

Survivors are shocked and disappointed to see, again, no statement of concern or support from the Fayed family – and that the credibility of victims was impugned in private legal documents. Heini why don't you say it publicly: we will answer you with evidence.

NOA salutes the brave survivor who spoke in this chilling story, which describes how Fayed's trafficking reached Scotland. Harrods should be closely scrutinised for its pivotal role in the Fayed trafficking network – but the abuse went far beyond Knightsbridge.

Impunity must end here. Only a statutory public inquiry can address systemic failures. And only a statutory public inquiry can require those who participated in or enabled the crimes - or who knew and looked the other way - to produce their evidence. We cannot afford let the Fayed get away with it.

Survivors of abuse by Mohamed Al Fayed call for trafficking investigation
Without it the ‘true scale’ of former Harrods owner’s alleged network will stay hidden, says survivors’ group Survivors of abuse perpetrated by the former Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed are calling for a full trafficking investigation to be launched, arguing that without it the “true scale” of the billionaire’s alleged network would remain hidden. Survivors at No One Above (NOA), a collective founded by victims of abuse at the hands of Fayed, are calling for the Metropolitan police to broaden their investigation into the billionaire and make trafficking the main focus.
