QRP with your skull art! 💀💀

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Finished my designs for my pins! Memento mori themed (I say that but I just wanted to combine skulls with bright colours and poisonous plants)

A digital painting of a mossy human skull on a black background. It's insides are lit with a neon pick and it rests on grass. Out of it's eye and jaw, deadly nightshade is growing and close by monkshood is also growing. Three small stars are at the top.

A digital painting of a bengal tiger's skull on a black background. Above it are sprigs of mistletoe and below are two thingies of foxglove. The whole thing is very symmetrical. The skull is lit neon yellow inside

a digital painting of a wolf's skull rests on some grass in front of a black background. Around it red mushrooms grow. I forgot the name of them. THey're like super poisonous though, they're the ones that are red on top with white spots, basically what everyone thinks of when they think of mushrooms. The wolf is lit neon green inside and growing out of it's eye are 3 other mushrooms, tall and skinny and brown. I also forgot the name of those but they're also crazy poisonous

Now my adhd is getting medicated I'm spending some time reacquainting myself with what I love drawing. So throwback to teenage me who loved drawing skulls and I wanted to make some pin designs except they're WIPs bc literally my life is spent either animating or prepping for my next con lol

I was referencing some of Shirahama's artwork for practice and I think this picture is the deepest I've ever connected with my art on a spiritual level

a stupid drawing of Olruggio from Witch Hat Atelier. He's drawn in my dumb style and just generally looks fed up with his stupid giant eyes and messy hair. I just get it.

WHEEZING I FINISHED A 6 YEAR OLD COMIC major spoilers for mighty nein campaign ep26 and 30 don't look if you've not seen the campaign and only watched the show plz #criticalrole #criticalrolefanart #criticalrolespoilers #mightynein #mightyneinspoilers

White text on a black background that reads: MAJOR MIGHTY NEIN CAMPAIGN SPOILERS SERIOUSLY DON'T READ IF YOU'RE SHOW ONLY
except I spelled nein wrong because I can't spell

"It's about midday. As you look around at the nearby clouds, you glance back towards the cart..."

"...and you see, stepping out of the cloak of illusion, the leathered, conscious figure of Yasha, having shaken herself from the illusory binds. Groggy and confused,
she steps towards the rest of you. "What's going on?" she asks.
Jester: I'm sorry Yasha
Fjord: While they were trying to rescue us
Nott: We lost him
Caleb: He tried

Caleb(offscreen): He tried to get to your side. He tried very hard
"She seems to have tuned the rest of you out..."

When I say my cat has no survival instincts I mean it

A picture of an Ikea pegboard that has been spray painted a pinkish colour and the paint is now drying on some old newspaper

A picture of the same pegboard but close up. There is a suspicious outline of a cat paw print in the middle of the picture.

A picture of my dumbass son (a brown tabby cat) sitting on a green table and licking his front foot. The foot looks slightly wet.

Upgrading my booth from being 2 apples tall and sparse to actually looking like something Yes I’m including the big light.

A photo of a small booth for artist alley.

Another photo of a booth for artist alley but this time there’s the worlds most handsome man (my cat) posing on the side

A back shot of my booth, my dumb son (my cat) immediately wedged himself into the small cubby at the back where my payment stuff is meant to go.

OK SO maybe setting myself a 2 week challenge one week before a big con wasn't the best idea but I'm tackling my 2nd most avoided thing: Colour studies. I had no idea how to actually go about it, so I just listened to my old primary school teacher and painted fruit. Gonna keep doing these!

A digital painting of a red apple on a light yellow/orange background

A digital painting of a bright orange fruit, sliced in half on a black background

A digital painting of a plum on a dark brown background. In front if it is a small, slightly less rendered plum because I got really lazy and I'm only meant to be doing these for 20 minutes.

Tyranny is a gremlin child and I love her I had one day to come up with some sticker designs and I'm kind of proud of them. Including the goat. #criticalrole #tyranny

A chibi-ish design of Tyranny from critical role campaign 4. She's doing some kind of little dancey move while holding her hands together in a prayer like way. The words above her say 'Ever Bright, Ever Right'

A chibi-ish design of Tyranny from critical role campaign 4. Shes looking like a bit of a gremlin really. Giant eyes, stupid face expression probably about to eat someone idk

It's Tyranny from Critical role again but this time she's a pink goat. A finger is hanging from her mouth. She's wearing her nun outfit but she's still a goat so it looks goofy.

WEEK 1 COMPLETE! More legs and hips bc I don't know what the heck I'm doing with them still. WIth that, next week is moving onto things I'm ACTUALLY avoiding rather than just slightly avoiding. Colour. Ugh.

030

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 10/01/2026

DAY 6: ALMOST FIRST WEEK DONE this is big for me, whose adhd riddled brain always gets bored after 3 days! The novelty is definitely wearing off but I feel I can keep going now! Anyway, I enjoyed doing the sports theme stuff so heres more. Had fun with the facial expressions more than anything lol

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 10/01/2026

Day 5: Putting it all together into something and forcing myself into drawing hands and feet and faces on my full body studies

120

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 10/01/2026

DAY 3: more torsos which, despite what bluesky says, is not sexually suggestive, just torsos.

110

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 10/01/2026

Starting a thread of these so it's all in one place. My 14 days of working for 20 minutes on art studies I've been avoiding. DAY 1: hands

194

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 09/01/2026

Day 5 of 15 of drawing things I don't want to draw bc I'm a big baby I'm putting together the last couple of days studying and now I've got full body shots but without avoiding hands and feet. Mostly athletes today because they're super dynamic and fun to draw!

010

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 08/01/2026

Day 4 of 14 studying things I've been avoiding for 20 minutes or more. I managed to draw 5 in 20 minutes this time! Also, this is getting to like ground zero. Hips and legs are things I hate doing, it just feels so complicated. Forcing myself to do a couple of days on this but I'm pleased so far :)

011

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 07/01/2026

Day 3 of drawing things I've been avoiding and it's more torsos. I'm getting more comfortable with them, so I think one more day and then it's onto hips and legs, the true final boss of human anatomy

261

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 06/01/2026

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 06/01/2026

Day 2 of 14 spending 20 minutes studying the art things I've been avoiding. I'm slowly getting a hang of torsos, it's really fun with how many different shapes there are and how fat works. I don't feel I understand the structure of them enough to move on, though. I'll probably do more tomorrow 💪

071

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

Day 1 of drawing things I've been avoiding for 20 minutes a day. Ok this is cheating a little because I don't avoid hands but I do avoid studying in general so it's a loophole.

I've got my art mojo back enough to actually do one of these this year!! #artvartist

122

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 26/12/2025

Also just bc I’m kinda gassed about it, here’s my improvement from this year:

A linocut print of umbreon in the Moon Tarot card

A linocut print of a small wren perched on a branch

050

Nools @noolsart.bsky.social · 26/12/2025

It’s been a little while since I’ve shown my linocut prints but I got some new tools for Christmas and it’s unbelievable how much nicer it is to use. It’s like the jump from crayons crayons to copic markers. I’m still a little messy but it was so much fun!

A picture of a linocut print of a wren on the left and on the right is the print/stencil/ I don’t know what it’s called but it’s sitting on some newspaper

These are super embarrassing to show because they're like 10 years old but dragon age meant the world to me growing up and I was absolutely feral for fenhawke for a very long time. I've not drawn DA in a long time but I'll always love it. #dragonageday #dragonageart

A painting of Fenris from Dragon age 2, he's looking off camera, the lighting is warm and theres a strong rim light

A painting of Morrigan from Dragon age, she's looking over her shoulder with a stern expression and there's a lot of strong green lighting from underneath. I don't know why.

The last panel of a comic I drew forever ago that I'm too embarrassed to share now. Hawke is flopped over dramatically on a chair while Fenris calls him dramatic and kisses his hand.

old as balls drawing I did of cassandra handing her Tale of the Champion over to Hawke in skyhold so he can autograph it. She's looking down ashamed of herself for having emotions and Hawke is probably saying something smug and insufferable about it.

I'm apparently starting a series of moments when Taisha lovingly and accidentally bullies her son weird, squirrely child she found one day. [ #CriticalRole #CriticalRoleFanart #cr4 ]

Three panel comic of a moment from Critical Role.

First panel: Taisha leans forward excitedly, talking to her offscreen daughter. She blurts out: "Make a move, girl. He's never had sex!"

Second Panel: Taisha is standing with her hands over her mouth in shock as Hal has a grip on her arms saying quietly: "That's an overshare".

Third panel is just Occtis on a black background looking like he wishes a hole would open up underneath him and swallow him.

Local man abandoned by friend at a party where he doesn't know anyone else and it's actually really scary. More at 9. [ #criticalrole #cr4 #occtistachonis #taishalloy ]

A three panelled comic featuring Taisha and Occtis from critical role campaign 4.

The first panel: Taisha is angrily shoving her drink at Occtis while saying 'Oh hell no, who let these assholes in here?! Hold this, Occtis, I'll be back.' Occtis looks startled and is gingerly holding onto her mug and replies 'oh...ok.'

The second panel: Midshot of Occtis just standing there holding Taisha's mug as his brain catches up with his mouth.

The third panel: A close up of his terrified face with the words 'No wait don't leave me' are scrawled next to him

First actual drawing of my OCs that I've drawn in a very long time. Their name is Shrike and they're the local cryptid that lives in the woods. Stretching my rendering and geometric legs with this one, it was very fun to do something a bit less literal than I normally do [ #oc #originalart ]

A light purple Tiefling of indeterminate gender stands in the middle of the page. They've got long brown-red hair that's blowing dramatically off to the side while they look the other direction, equally dramatic. Their 4 horns are made of wood and they're also surrounded by a lot of thorns. Shrike (the character) Is also accompanied by a smaller Shrike (the bird) sitting on those thorns. I don't know what it symbolises but it's symbolic nevertheless.

Started in 2020, finished two weeks ago. It's done! As a past HorseGirl, if you're riding them around all over the place, I feel like someone would fall off their giant chicken and get accidentally left behind and also that it would be Prompto. [ #ffxv #finalfantasy15 ]

The boys from ffxv in a field. Ignis and Gladio are in the distance; Ignis is calling to the others on a white chocobo, while Gladio waves at them, his chocobo is happy and loafed on the grass. In the middle Noctis is also waving at Prompto while riding a purple chocobo as Prompto, with leaves and dirt in his hair, is running triumphantly towards the others with his arms outstretched. He's just fallen off like a dingus but he got back on, so we're proud of him.
