I'd say suits are still an important part of the culture but younger furs (specifically post covid furs) that have their main places being tiktok and other hell spaces are victims to the algorithm and shaped the idea that it is THE furry thing because it tends to be what they are overexposed to

I like it quite a bit but I think it reached the point where a lot of people do it with just the size difference itself instead of adding some more context flavor to it, big villains/heroes dominated by smaller henchmen or some play with pokemon evos tend to spice it up a lot for me.
