Watching the penultimate stage of the Vuelta and loving it! Great scenery, crowds lining so much of the route, cyclists throwing everything into the ride, still potential for reshuffling right across the top ten for the GC.

That’s right, at the end of the rainbow you find my pond. Could dive in to see if there’s a pot o gold in there, but pondering the possibility it’s a metaphorical pot o gold.
Half a rainbow arcs into the centre of a lush green landscape with green paddocks and lands just near a round pond

Great weekend plotting improvements for the Te Araroa trail! New app out in the next month, new bridges and better hut and shelter infrastructure. But it will always be a challenging through walk as New Zealand is rugged country with unpredictable weather

Cold snap in NZ. But brilliant days! Is it bad that my hard working little heat pump sometimes makes a noise like distant thunder from time to time?

Sorry, I was going to post the Did I just argue with a Joke image but something (coding?) wasn’t working so I couldn’t and I tried to make the same point with words, which clearly did not work. Nah still can’t load it. Wait looks like I can paste it, let’s see if this works:

Not cool. I’m a migrant and I don’t try to hide it (I have an accent) but there will always be someone who thinks the accident of birthplace makes me unworthy and them worthy. (Plus they just wasted my time making me rewatch a video which did not make the point they claimed)

Just realised I have not been thankful enough for what has been good this year. It’s wasn’t all great, but there are some moments of late I’ve just powered through trying to get things done, when I should have paused to savour. Here’s my pause to appreciate a puppy at the seaside just the other day
