Monthly surprise mushroom box included a non-mushroom treat: pawpaws! I’d never had one before, and now I understand why people love them: incredibly floral fragrance; custardy flesh; hints of banana, peach, and mango.

Nearly done with Liz Myles' terrific book about the politics of Doctor Who. I rarely buy physical books nowadays — we’re well out of book space! — but I make exceptions for books my friends write, especially ones this well-written and insightful.

Monday software prompt suggesting I let "Elena," a female-coded, possibly Asian character they probably let some AI design, "help" me standardize and categorize my tasks. The appropriateness of suggesting a female-coded character should handle the little stuff the Big Boss is too important to do is left as an exercise for the reader, and I'm not even going to get into possible racial implications as well.

Made a quick Penzeys run and found the most wonderful art on exhibit
