That's pretty unambiguous.

This is Pye, who likes to sit like a human. He lounges like this for long periods of time.

John, gone too soon.
Images: Comedy and Tragedy masks. A quilt panel of a juggling jester. Pages from theatre programs. Two photos. The word "Kadota".

Upper text:

GUIL: No, no, no . . . you've got it all wrong . . .
you can't act death. The fact of it is nothing to
do with seeing it happen - it's not gasps and blood
and falling about - that isn't what makes it death.
It's just a man failing to reappear, that's all -
now you see him, now you don't, that's the only thing
that's real: here one minute and gone the next and
never coming back - an exit, unobtrusive and
unannounced, a dissappearance gathering weight
as it goes on, until, finally, it is heavy with
death.

From: "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead"
by Tom Stoppard

Lower text:

I burn my candle at both ends
it will not last the night
but oh my friends and oh my foes
it dost cast a wondrous light

Edna St. Vincent Millay

The President's national emergency being used to bypass environmental permitting to build a Uranium enrichment plant.
A Public Notice from the US Army Corps of Engineers granting a request to fill wetlands without the normal permitting process, in order to build a Uranium enrichment plant in Paducah, KY. Justified by a national emergency declared by President Trump.

it's not just online free filing - tax calculation tools are also vanishing from IRS websites.
A screenshot of an IRS tax withholding estimator that says
"The Estimator is not yet updated to reflect the One Big Beautiful Bill Act provisions
Consider reviewing your withholding manually or consulting a tax professional if you:

Have income from tips or overtime
Paid interest on a loan for a new car
Paid more than $10,000 in State and local taxes
Are age 65 or older"

A photo of a Selenium rectifier, an electronics component that was used from the 1930s to the 1960s.

From Wikipedia: "Selenium rectifiers had a shorter lifespan than desired. In the early stage of failure they produce a modest amount of sweet-smelling gas, sometimes described as "sickly sweet". . . . During catastrophic failure they produce significant quantities of malodorous and highly toxic hydrogen selenide"

It lives! 70+ years old and the regulator tubes still hold 300 VDC within 1%. It still needs a new line cord, a permanent replacement for the Selenium rectifier, and recalibration. The cal is off because the carbon composition resistors have decreased in value.
Electronic tube equipment. Two tubes have a red glow from the filaments, and two regulator tubes have a lavender glow from ionized gas.

One of my best finds there was this beast - A "General Scaler-Ratemeter model RCR-1" . It needed recapping, and the hundreds mechanical counter sticks now and then (as it does in this video). What a combination of Analog, Decatron, and mechanical counters!

Apropos of nothing, here's my grandfather's homework from 1932, which I just found and scanned. He came to the US in 1930, and just a few years later was an architect working on the runway extension at San Francisco's airport.

I broke up a cast iron tub as part of a renovation. It weighed 355 lbs. Castings have an appeal, especially when they're proudly branded. And dated. Jan 30th, 1947.
Photo of the bottom of a cast iron bathtub being removed. Stamps on the casting read "Made In United States of America by American Radiator and Standard Sanitary Corporation Louisville"Photo of part of the bottom of a cast iron bathtub, Text in casting reads "1 30 47 355 5FT"
