Carolina Pygmy Sunfish, uncommon and local in the Waccamaw and Santee River drainages of North and South Carolina, where it occurs in heavily vegetated creeks and still bodies of water. #SundayFishSketch

My apologies, I've been out of the crayfish game for too long and forgot there was more than one burrowing crayfish, and learning now there's a new one! Amazing!

I'm curious if there's been many records of snow from a hurricane?

This feels like a repeat of coyotes in North America. It'll be interesting to see how they interact with wolves in the future.

Looking great! I've bookmarked it for future use. Wondering if there's a time loop function? Maybe I missed it 😕

Open to either! I'm a terrestrial biologist but I do enjoy learning about fish and other aquatic creatures

Would it be inversed? Places that keep changing their time are the crazy ones? I think BC sticking with their 'summer' time, makes sense to give us a bit more evening light in the winter.

Saw the first blooming in the West End of Vancouver this past week. I used to think of these as spring flowers but maybe late fall is more appropriate here.

Unfortunately neither wolverine or badger occur in that area. Maybe spotted skunk but it would still appear to have some white. Best guess would be maybe a young racoon or red fox, or some sort of escaped pet

Any thoughts on what caused the shift? I'm surprised as I'd normally anticipate sea temperatures to shift more slowly.

I think California has seen similar dichotomies. I suppose seeing stronger gradients between pressure systems is something to be expected with climate change?
