Yeah, that's why I don't see either as universally 'harder' than the other. I can see one being harder than the other for some people and easier for some people. But lots of people seem to like their dichotomies. lol

I think this may be the ACTUAL reason one would be harder than the other. Relationships are hard for most people, so it follows that maintaining plural relationships WOULD be harder than maintaining a single relationship.

While relinquish implies voluntary, it does not necessarily *mean* voluntary. If someone is convicted of a crime and sentenced to jail, they are relinquishing their freedom. And yes, the law may have been intended for people renouncing their status or leaving the country, but... 1/2

I think technically it would since, the way I understand it, it's invoked only on the act of change of status (renouncing citizenship or permanent resident status). Whether it's voluntary or involuntary doesn't matter.

I think a LOT of people on both sides of the issue lack the understanding for the reasons of the masks. It was NEVER about protecting oneself. It was about not unintentionally spreading something you didn't know you had. Just like personnel in an OR wear masks to prevent infections.

Oh yeah, it's super easy to forget to eat on them. But that was also part of building the good habits. Picking things that were nutrient and calorie dense within the limited amount I could eat at the time.

I think it's important to emphasize it even for people where weight ISN'T their primary issue. Muscle is effectively a longevity and independence reservoir. I'm on the back side of 55 at this point, and I don't exercise for today. I'm exercising for the Wolfman in his 60s and 70s and beyond.

And I am speaking 100% from experience. My doc put me on it at the beginning of 2024. And I literally changed everything about my habits: diet, exercise, sleep. I've been off it since the beginning of 2025 and still lost another 20 pounds. And I've actually gained muscle percentage.

That's the real problem. Mounjaro is 100% the most effective where blood sugar control is the issue, but you HAVE to do at least some sort of resistance exercise and eat a healthy protein-forward diet. Supposedly only about 5% who take a GLP1 ever get off, and I think not changing habits is why.

Yeah, the English expelled us around 1755 (Le Grand Dérangement). Eventually, most wound up in Louisiana through a lot of different routes (some even briefly wound up back in France). But all my ancestors (including the Isleño/Canary Islander ones) were here before 1790.
