Carrick needs a good result against Spurs. The negativity was boiling over after the Fulham performance.City being found guilty seems to have alleviated some of the negativity because everyone is distracted by that news. If we go and give Spurs their first league win then the negativity will be back

Yeah it doesn’t tell us in-depth details about the games. For example we had decent xg under Amorim but it happened when we chased game after conceding. The concerning things is that we can’t create good chances when we’re chasing results

I think Andy’s point in the episode reflects my opinion well. Saying this type of stuff and showing positive attacking stats are all well and good, but i watch football with my eyes. My eyes are telling me that we’re not good enough under Carrick so far this season

There’s a difference between not throwing players under the bus and bring blinded by our weaknesses. He could’ve said “there are things we as a group could’ve improve on and there are ways I can help put our players in advantageous position”
