Happy, cool, calm, and collected before a 5K. Little did I know that the heat and humidity would push my heart rate into Zone 5 for 30 minutes, leaving me completely exhausted and sweat-drenched. Still fun though.

Labor Day weekend is Southern Decadence here in New Orleans, and I will stay for that. But I saw a nudist resort website “Lake Como” has a 5K and 2K next April. Maybe I’ll aim for that
