I happened to drive by a high school as the kids were leaving yesterday and every single kid looked exactly the same as when I was in high school decades ago. Same exact fashions, hairstyles, friend groups, backpacks, etc. The only difference was the e-scooters and e-bikes. It was so surreal. 😆

One of the most therapeutic things Ive been doing lately is blocking anyone that leaves rude comments on ANY posts I stumble across. I highly recommend giving it a shot. If that person is going to be rude to someone, then I certainly don’t want to ever have to deal with them. And now I won’t! 😆🙌

And now half my office and my teammates in another state are all out nauseous. Something major is going around. Please start wearing masks again if you ever stopped wearing them.

Just fyi. There’s a bad strand of covid going around. My coworkers kids class has all tested positive for covid now. But no one is quarantining or even wearing masks, not even the teacher. They’re all just going about like normal and treating it like a cold 😩😩😩

Wylde Flowers! That would be a dream come true. I could have a lovely little farm, learn magic, and marry a sweet werewolf man. I would live there forever 😆🙌💕

Please!! I need this so badly. Smudges hurt my eyes and no matter how much I clean my glasses, they never stay away 😭

Tired, post-work doodle. But I was thinking, if I was on Berk, what kind of Viking would I be? And I definitely think I’d be a bread making Viking 😆🙌 And I would use Scauldron steam to make a dragon-dutch oven so the bread is nice and crispy on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside 😊✨

Heard something similar from another studio but flipped. They took human-made scripts and used ai to animate it, but kept emphasizing the human-made scripts as being the core part of the project and that they wanted to focus on “human creativity” 😑

Right?! Same! I already couldn’t eat foods with certain preservatives and chemicals in it due to stomach issues. But produce was the one thing i was always okay to eat 😭😭😭 Aldi has been a lifesaver thru this though. Occasionally they have produce from other countries, so that’s all I’ll eat now 😩🙌

Just a thought about produce. The rich folks have to be getting their food from somewhere, and you know they’re eating safe, healthy foods. So what if we find out where they’re getting their food from and buy it all, so then they have to deal with shortages and will produce more healthy foods?

We also shouldn’t have to pay “new item” prices for something thats used and that youre not even sure will work. 😩 I also hate that 90s is now considered vintage. Just let me look at the vintage 20s-50s stuff without feeling personally attacked about my age 😆

Just fyi for anyone who sells on FB Marketplace, Insta is now showing marketplace ads that share your full real name and the city/state that you live in. I don’t have FB and nothing on my insta is connected to FB, but I’m still able to see this. Just fyi in case you want your info to be private!

Does anyone have any experience with looms and weaving? I’ve been really curious to try weaving my own textiles. But tabletop looms are so expensive and I have no clue which kind to get 😅 What’s a good beginner loom that I can try out and at least make decent basic kitchen towels on?

When I went to Berk, I kept running into a Viking named Legburn and we basically became besties! She mentioned that she had tamed a dragon that “not even Hiccup had seen before” and that it was about the size of a goose. So I made drew her and what I think her “dragon” looks like 😆💕

I’m not a meteorologist but I did live in FL for 30 years and have been thru a lot of hurricanes. Warm waters make hurricanes much stronger. And right now, the gulf waters are at 80f+ as hurricane season is starting. Yall better start getting your emergency kits ready asap. Its gonna be rough

You can apparently use a mixer too, but it can get messy 😅 Personally I like the extra arm workout I get from shaking the jar 😆

Made a fresh loaf of bread to go with the fresh butter and holy moly, it is divine! I’m never buying either from the store again 😍😍😍

Leslie Strock @nokkinatter.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

Today I learned that you can make fresh butter by just shaking a jar of heavy whipping cream for 5 minutes! And you get fresh buttermilk from it which I then used to make some homemade buttermilk ranch! I’m so excited! 🤩🙌💕

I’m now thinking they used carnation roots as root stock and grafted the hibiscus to it 😆🙌

Leslie Strock @nokkinatter.bsky.social · 25/05/2026

Interesting! That’s probably what happened then. They grafted it onto carnation roots! 😆🙌

Flower folks, I have another question. My hibiscus has sprouted this other flower that’s almost like a carnation. It’s on the same stem and same plant as my hibiscus flowers and nothing looks different about the area it sprouted from. So what the heck is happening? Did my plant mutate?? 😆

delayed the project 3 months and caused a horrible domino effect internally. On the 5th round, they finally submitted the corrected version, but also submitted their “preferred” version. We took the version we asked for and that was it. They are now on our “blacklist” to never work with again. 😑

060

Leslie Strock @nokkinatter.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Example: there was one artist with a very large following on insta whose work I’ve admired for years. I was honored to get to work with them. First round of revisions, the only note was to adjust a characters expression. They refused. 5 rounds we went back&forth asking for the same note. It vvv

150

Leslie Strock @nokkinatter.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

If you’re unwilling to collaborate with the other people on your team and to maybe even learn and grow as an artist, then you will get less work. Guaranteed. Art directors talk to each other. And there are certain folks with very large followings that I will never work with again 😑

180

Leslie Strock @nokkinatter.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

THIS. I have been lucky enough to work with some incredible artists But I will never stop being shocked by experienced artists who get offended by feedback from their art directors. And sometimes flat out refuse to make changes. We’re trying to help you improve. Not personally attacking you.
