After the movie, I’m thinking of continuing my run through of the resident evil games. Earlier this year I had done another run of RE1 (not the remake!) and I had started OG RE2 as well.

Resident Evil (2026) perfectly encapsulates the experience of how terrifying the namesake game franchise gets in movie form. Not only that, it’s just absolutely bonkers and horrific on its own. My heart is still racing even on the way home, fantastic!

Goddamnit, I'm just stuck waiting to watch Backrooms behind the scenes material because someone won't get off their fat fucking ass and deliver it to me!

Excited for the upcoming Weezer record, that's three for three on singles each getting into my head randomly throughout the day. Super hyped!

Are they saving the rapping for when the movie comes out? Three trailers and none where DOOM is rapping yet.

Spider-Man Brand New Day was amazing. The action was exhilarating! The inclusion of many familiar characters ended up not just as delightful fan service, but even as a brilliant thematic device for an emotional plot that encompasses what makes Spidey himself so special. Loved it!

Nolan’s done it again. I’m going to be thinking about the Odyssey nonstop for a good minute… brilliant reminder to the strengths of cinema. I was so drawn in, the runtime did not feel believable. Oppenheimer blew me away but the spectacle here really got me hooked!

Woke up to the news that the Doctor Who Christmas Special is cancelled this year and that Russell T Davies is no longer moving forward with the show

With the new Resident Evil announcement, that means Capcom can finally redeem themselves for this.

The new Weezer track’s baller, really enjoying the production. Looking forward to the new album!

I think I might have enough material to put out some music, which is exciting. It's been incredibly difficult to feel any sort of strong pull to songs enough to want to put them out in any capacity, but I've been really digging these songs I been recording.

Been finally getting around to continue in Silent Hill 2 Remake. Reaching the latter half of the game now and it’s seriously effective nightmare fuel. I love it!

Picked up Street Fighter 6 for PS5 a bit ago. Haven’t had much of an in-depth dive yet into it, but I’m so used to 2/Third Strike/IV that all the new stuff has thrown me for a loop

For the first time in a long while I’m putting down some new music :,) it’s likely up for nothing but it’s still fun getting ideas recorded and to hear later on. I did end up getting a new interface (UA Volt!) and it’s sounding fab.

000

Thatnoisydog @noisydog.bsky.social · 09/04/2026

audio interface only outputs in one channel now (multiple cables, multiple headphones), WOW that sucks. im like "Okay time to use my computer speakers" and... one of them only works. what the hell!

000

Thatnoisydog @noisydog.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

ok i think its gone ... rip comrade of 6 yrs

000

Thatnoisydog @noisydog.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

my focusrite interface has been a pain lately with how it randomly just cuts to one channel, and no amount of fiddling with settings would manually adjust it back. give or take a few minutes or if i give up and come back to it, then all of a sudden it works fine! trying to see what causes that...

The new Weezer single's rockin HARD. Love the guitar tones, holy shit! Definitely in their realm but I'm sensing more of that fuzzier, heavier feel here. Also, I think I'm hearing 'Rules of Life' pop up which adds to my appreciation. Great new single!

Evil Banana!

Was originally working on this back around 2024, storyboarded a video for it as well to go along. Haven't gotten around to it, but felt like I wanted to share the song at least.

Completed my second run of RE Requiem and still found it super fun. Really enjoying the tightness of the design here, bringing a lot of RE2 Remake in mind.

How could Will Smith do that?!?

000

Thatnoisydog @noisydog.bsky.social · 15/03/2026

Started my second run as all third person, but just kind of messing around anyway. Grace’s stumbling still works as a buffer to not keep sprinting everywhere around. Getting used to seeing her parts behind her back instead of her POV though lol.

Can’t get enough of this song. Loving the contrast with Matt’s vocals under Dan’s for the chorus and with the drums going off, it hits so well. Warming up a lot to this record, this and Infirmary have been on constant repeat. youtu.be/0tXic1ex7WM?...

OG Resident Evil 4 or RE1 Remake!

Thatnoisydog @noisydog.bsky.social · 11/03/2026

Finally got to finish Resident Evil 9 this morning. What a great game, it incorporated a lot of what I loved across the previous titles and giving a refined pace to it all.

000

Thatnoisydog @noisydog.bsky.social · 07/03/2026

Getting better on the drums. It’s made listening to music a lot more engaging, which is always fun. Practiced mainly a lot of just hardcore punk for the sake of getting that energy out, and it’s fantastic for that

Resident Evil Requiem so far has been interesting and some parts have gotten to me pretty spooked, trying it out keeping the perspectives on default but on subsequent play throughs, I’ll likely play around with them.

100

Thatnoisydog @noisydog.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

I'm still debating on if I'm going digital in the end if I should bother just getting it on steam. Looking into how Requiem performs on Steam Deck for curiosity's sake.

Resident evil 9’s finally here! Going to try to find a physical copy. Otherwise I’d might have to bite the bullet going digital.

It was one of those moments I feel they’re really trying to relive these days, that surprise and shock of seeing McGann return even for that brief minisode was everything. There, alongside his appearance in 13’s last story, really showcases that he still has it after all this time.

001

Thatnoisydog @noisydog.bsky.social · 19/02/2026

In all seriousness I have rewatched it in full proper length, but I am very excited for this to get a re-released that’s cleaned up in that glorious 4K! I love the Eighth Doctor, and I need to explore more of his stories. Despite that, he still can’t help but exude charm so much in his first story!

When I first got into doctor who, one of my early entry points was this movie, where I spent a holiday in my aunt’s small apartment and one night, I watched it all through ten minute chunks on YouTube. Many years later now, I can enjoy it in one sitting! Huzzah, how fantastic!
