Finished a 1993 (I think) Deathwing Terminator the other day. Significantly older than my usual fare, but I've had this from new, and it needed a decent paintjob after decades rattling around in a bits box

Finished painting Kravek Morne a few days ago. interesting model with a load of potential for conversions quite honestly. he was fun apart from the hazard stripes, they were a massive pain to get right!

Got an easy build redemptor dreadnought on the desk for my Ashen Claws force, very slightly reposed and added twin lascannon from a contemptor dread to give it a more 'salvaged from the battlefield and this is all we had to put on it' look

Ork Stormboyz in progress for ebay, a little project to try out better ways of tracking time (and therefore being able to price stuff better instead of WAY too cheap for some things). this is 2 hrs 26 mins into it, not including building and priming.

Recent diorama completed for a 'taskmasters' challenge on the Mini Matters podcast discord, theme was two figures but not a duel, closer to something from a movie poster. The legs of the one skelly are actually part of the statue from a nighthaunt character's base

Aethon Shaan, the Master of Shadows. Finished him this week (I think anyway, when you paint toy soldiers for a meagre living, days sort of merge together). Entered him into the Squidmar open as well, along with the Triceratops, which for obvious reasons went into the large scale category.

Burrows and Badgers miniatures from Oathsworn minis. Loads of fun to paint, they don't have that nagging feeling you should be doing it a 'certain way' like gw minis do.

So far I'm quite far along with a bug mech kind of thing, and started a sci-fi vehicle last night as a little project I can tinker with when I run into problems on the bug.

If you only do one thing today, let it be this one: Fill the government consultation on a/i #makeitfair #paythecreators 🚨Deadline is today 25/02/25 at midnight 🚨 ⚠️ It’s not too late! ⚠️ It will take 5 mins if you follow this link: againstthebox.substack.com/p/time-to-ha...

illustration by kitsuneart of the famous Eoywn scene in the Lord of the Rings movie where she says "I am no man" and destroys the King of the Nazgul. Instead of that, the words on the illustrations say "MAKE IT FAIR. The government is siding with big tech over British creativity".
The illustration is in a limited colour palettes of greys and pinks. Eowyn is giving us her back, she has a long cape and her hair are floating in the air. She is surrounded by smoke, branding her sword as she just removed her helmet. In front of her, the giant head of the King of the Nazgul.
Is an invitation to every creative and every UK citizen who CARES for arts and creativity to fill the government's consultation TODAY before midnight.

I try to paint and sell stuff on eBay as much as time allows, but I never seem to get a handle on what sells because I don't game. However,I know Aeldari are, to quote Mugato 'So hot right now'. So to fund some of the newer kits I can paint/sell, I'll have to start with some quite old stuff #aeldari

I set up a better photo area on a bookshelf near the painting desk a couple of days ago, and whilst I've never been the best photographer and dislike taking photos with a fairly intense passion, the results so far aren't too bad, although the light from the top needs to be brighter I think.

Found time to work on something I can actually show, even if it is just something for eBay. Spent a bit of time getting slightly better photos and also tinkering with the pressures/paint consistency of the airbrush trying to get a smoother application. Not a terrible result on either counts tbh
