I do think it was a large bit of burnout considering the job role and trying to function on an already overstressed body on top of that just made my body pick an option I couldnt ignore On the fun side I've had a LOT of "lay flat on the floor" time this past week

If you see me streaming all day on twitch suddenly just know I got fired and you should send your rich friends my way (It's really hard to get your attendance points back in this job since it's a remote one and I just had a multi-day body shutdown that I couldnt predict so per the handbook...)

There are many bad things to be said about the fact that my work system behaves PERFECTLY FINE when I'm not on our phone lines WHATEVER it is that our IT team does to "fix and correct" errors with our call system is NOT doing any modicum of a job let alone a good one

What would life be like if you moved to a city where plants carry magic like cables carry electricity in our world? What does a queer Arab fantasy world feel like? We’re making a solo-journaling TTRPG set in that world for zine month🐸 sliding scale PDF available! www.kickstarter.com/projects/sof...

A peaceful illustration of a young witch (Samar from the game Spirit Swap: Lofi beats to match-3 to) with pink horns and over the ear headphones, sitting on their bed in front of a big window. The window is surrounded by pothos vines and witchy knickknacks, and her Familiar, a pink round Frog with a unicorn horn, sleeps happily loafing next to her.

My talk on fandom & game dev marketing is now available! I would love if you'd watch it and give me feedback! 💖 Key takeaways: ⭐ Build feedback loops early 🌱Cultivate a community space! 🤝🏾Incorporate feedback early where you can 🙌🏾Make your audience feel seen & heard youtu.be/tQW7puDlFgY

build feedback loops early
Cultivate a community space with a Discord server!
Respond to fan content when you can
Incorporate feedback early where you can
Make your audience feel seen & heard
Example:
Someone draws art of your game’s protagonist. Instead of just a “like” leave a reply about why you like it, or a detail you appreciate! A creator “noticing” a fan is one of the highest compliments between fan and creator, but use this sparingly.
