Stories of Angels and Aces Alter is a subseries to my SOAA fan project, mainly for lesser stories outside of the timeline of the main SOAA project, and alternate universes revolving around the main timeline.

I love how Tubes-tied Tommy is bitching about... *checks notes* "Transgenderism and furries in aerospace." Also, did you know the guy behind the PAVE PENNY program was a furry?

The Sansara-Bay City Causeway is finally open, connecting Sansara to its' 'capital' by road. Here's some photos from the first people to drive across.

I have a photo of the inside, too. So far it's reached out to Krios near the Vehicle sim, about half way to Aptos at the other terminus. Though I don't know if Mavericks or Noyo is going to be connecting to it from there.

So uh, remember my proposal for a connection between Bay City and the rest of Sansara? Uhh.. Looks like Linden Lab finally is committing to something in the vein of it.

Some grave news from Eto Demerzell of the Lethports team. Apparently back in June, Lethra had a serious family emergency take place and she's been radio silent ever since. Her account was deleted and Linden Lab has begun undertaking seizure of her lands if tier obligations aren't met.

One example we've got from the article is the 'bindless' extension for Vulkan, which handles textures much more efficiently and will improve framerates. It'll also open the door to newer technologies like Subsurface Scattering (where light passes through or illuminates things in front of a source)

Except it's literally not. If you look at the Gamers Nexus review of it, you'll see the base console has a literal premium of 71 dollars over a DIY setup. Valve is having to pay market prices for RAM and SSDs which means no negotiating lower prices for volume orders of parts.
