I’m going to bed now. Mel (not Melody, the nickname for my real first name.) is eepy.

@gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org the traditional thing to set out for Santa in America is milk and cookies, which doesn’t sound very friendly for someone working on a hot day - especially on a holiday. So… is it a worker’s beer to set out in Australia? If not, what is it? Gotta know.

@gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org I gave you a follow on GitHub. You’re kinda the opposite of me in public projects - few yet make them quality. Whereas I think even failed projects should be public - because you can learn from them too. Plus I’m a bit scatter brained due to AuDHD, that’s not a help

@gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org I might continue the “bruv” and “NodeBruv” projects now that AI is much better. “Bruv” is a rewrite of Git, “NodeBruv” of “NodeGit”

0 clue what’s going on with Mozilla addon verification. It’s been over 30 hours now and yet my basic dark mode extension isn’t reviewed as OK yet. They said “up to 24 hours unless… manual (review)” so I hope the Mozilla extension verification team isn’t burnt out or worse… 🫤

@gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org I find it funny how us Americans think of snow as the typical December weather, and yet Australia has their summer then, not their winter. Which begs to ask… does Santa just wear a “dad outfit” in Australia?

As much as Node loves N72 4.2.1, per is clean rooming the software for K93 4.3.4 for the best possible experience.

I think I’ll give up on the emulator and just start reverse engineering non-encrypted binaries.

@gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org NodeMixaholic is attempting a clean-room Linux-kernel vibe coded rewrite of iOS 4.3.4 using REA and OpenCode! Source and details soon to come. In the meantime, check out github.com/morluto/rea and Craft Apps at getartcraft.com/apps

After about 20 years of being team Southern Comfort when it came to eggnog, I am now officially team Braum’s. Fuck it’s so good im literally in tears of joy.

Update: I underestimated how hard it is to make a x86_64 emulator… but I have DETERMINATION… then again, I also feel like I’m GONNA HAVE A BAD TIME.

@gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org try Haiku! (The operating system, not the writing style.) it’s great assuming you have all intel hardware (including an intel wireless card and graphics.) the nightly is where it’s at.

@gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org I’m attempting to vibe code a KVM/Win4Lin-like approach to emulating a system- except with the WHOLE design being kernel based and actually somewhat well optimized. Unlike W4L, this won’t involve patching kernel (I hope).

Low-key kinda obsessed with @gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org . He’s nice and likes the stuff I like. Too bad he’s not gay, otherwise I would totally ask to OD him (assuming he’s not a minor-he says he’s not but idk) 🤷🏻 Oh well, that’s life for ya! At least we’re good friends! 😊

@gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org I recently learned: Fedora Silverblue has on-install full-disk encryption - one that doesn't send your keys to the US gov! (Bitlocker in Win11, I'm looking at YOU!)

Haiku has gotten simply amazing... once you find a machine with common enough parts for it to work.

OH MY! I CAN SET A WALLPAPER? THIS CHANGES THINGS!

TIL: I can set a post-screensaver password.

Playing Minecraft on Haiku. Welcome to the future.

feeling cute, testing out Haiku on a laptop with a broken trackpad - a very similar model of Dell laptop Sean (Action Retro) installed Haiku on during one of his latest videos... so far so good - but if I connect to 5ghz wifi it crashes after a few minutes. Must boot via BIOS boot w/ EFI...

@gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org I was recently DOX’d accidentally by the local pound when they told people on FB that my mom and I adopted a pet. Both city AND names. Oh, and they had us take a photo. Fuck I feel so exposed. 😭

Thank GOD for #ujust and #Bazzite - otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to setup Sunshine properly! ujust setup-sunshine? Indeed I do! 😅

Fucking trying to vibe code a minimal rewrite of Sunshine just to get Moonlight working on Silverblue. Damn this shits harder than it seems. Trust me, it’s not as simple as “make sunshine clone in Python” - you have to at least kinda know what you’re doing for SOME success.

Here I am banging my head against the wall trying to get Sunshine to work when it turns out GNOME has a good RDP implementation. Now to make the cursor visible…

@gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org out with the old (Windows), in with the Silverblue. Please wish me good luck- I’ll need it! I’m notoriously cursed when it comes to Linux/Windows. Especially Linux.

You gotta be shitting me... NM and I are FURIOUS that Google takes away not only the Pro Gemini, but also flash. Everyone who's used it knows flash-lite is about as good as a 3b param model that runs on NM's phone... hell even Google's own Gemma4 beats the pants off of Gemini flash-lite. #Google

I looked at the presidential alert test FAQ. The fact our country has to answer the question "Does the Emergency Alert System collect personal data?" for us just shows the sad landscape of our current technological and political landscape. Allegedly, I think they know this.

@sparksammy.com.web.brid.gy is surprisingly unofficial. Got confirmation from NodeMixaholic perself (Aka Sparksammy). Not so shockingly, most of the followers seem to be bots - the rest are… us. But the fact per even has such a page? Priceless. You wouldn’t know how much effort goes into the…

@gold-craves-coffee.neocities.org question… how do Aussies shorten “Coke”? I mean, it’s as short as it is in both syllable count and character count, but y’all probably found a way? Idk. 🤷🏻 Sorry if odd, I just got a Coke and saw your comments and thought that. Autism and ADHD does weird things. 😅

I’m just going to bed, but a quick statement: I don’t care about the feelings of idiots - and I say it how it is. Yes, I try to be gentle and kind… but I can also be a bitch sometimes. Like, very much so. So if I dare encounter anyone doing anything stupid here, I *will* call you out on it.

To be fair, even if it’s less common women do this stuff to men to from time to time. But, alas - you see men as, for a lack of a better phrase, the inferior intellectuals. Yes, men do this more often it seems - but shouldn’t the rules go for all genders and not just males? Devil doesn’t…
