Some people theorize these are all intentional hype campaigns to make the tech seem more dangerous and imminent, basically making it seem more valuable and critical than it is. The law suites are a solution, either way, as discovery would make a lot details a matter of public record.

Also, I currently don’t have them mapped across twisted pairs; like A1+ and A1- should be on either side of a twisted pair. The AC nature of the steppers and very low resistance/capacitance seems to let the wires bear the load just fine.

The wire “crane” can handle all travel on the frame, but I rarely use more than about 10 inches any given direction, so the flying wires are infinitely more sensible than the channeled wires. The wires are just lighter, too. Zero capacitance, zero noise, etc.

It lightens the weight of the gantry significantly and lowers the off center linear drag of the old system. It seems like it is starting to top out on feed speeds. My redesign should get me past the 10k speed limit I seem to hit. Need to do some speed tests with this alteration.

Came into a bunch of cat 8E cable and decided to use for a flying cable upgrade for my plotter. I really hate how heavy and awkward that constraint cable channel stuff is, so I got rid of it, shorten the paths significantly, and made it modular with some networking stuff.

I want an LLM that is actually a model of a language based on good data so I can demonstrate several theories in generative grammar. Primarily the idea of a second order meta grammar that guides all human language. It’s either possible or not, and this seems like a good path to sort that out.

Computers can’t sense anything, they can read the difference between two electrical regions and convert that to a number typically between 0-2^16 at best. They need to establish that it is conscious without ret-conning the definition of consciousness to fit their situation. This is not semantics.

I want to verify my old research, which is still getting cited about once a year, and needs an intentional design to make a stronger case with. It basically shows that grammar competence has no predictive value in written language development. It erases a big chunk of the inputs…

A childhood friend co-grad-student former co-worker etc (like just one of my older buddies) mentioned that our old program is about to switch to EdPr which means they are going to start issuing PhDs, and they may need instructors and pupils soon. I may just turn to the teat of academia soon.

I often have to explain to people that IQ is a bell curve representing disability at both ends. I would reverse Flowers for Algernon in a heartbeat. The misery is unique and nearly impossible to express in a way that makes sense to anyone. It takes so much work not to be an asshole about it.

Like, there was one recently where I was pointing out how I had solved the input system for the massive amount of physical controls synthesizers require with an I/O expander that operated like a little interrupt co-processor, and I found myself having to explain why pot inputs aren’t good for…etc

I promise I am not making this up, it’s a very unique gripe and I don’t expect a lot of empathy on it, but being a person with a lot of ideas and few resources is pretty rough. At least 2 things I invented and designed (and like drafted in a cad) have convergently been carried out by others.
