I retired a few years ago after working as a designer in tech for 35+ and recently was contacted by a recruiter asking if I would come back to work. I thought about it for 2 seconds. I worked for people like this Palantir CTO and other insane narcissists all those years. Tech is full of them. Nope.

"Temporary restraining orders" made sense once upon a time, but judges should really be mindful of this demented gangster who has complete contempt for the rule of law. Restraining orders need to be "permanent or until the Orange criminal is no longer of this world."

It's never been clear to me what happened after WW2, if anything, to the German public who supported Hitler. Back then the concept of shame and at least a minimal amount of intelligence still existed. Will MAGA ever feel shame post-fascism? They've shown no signs of Intelligence.

Until the Roberts' Court is dismantled, every president will have the same freedom to be corrupt. The rule of law has been dismantled by the Supreme Court. Trump could have been reined-in. The office of president needs a complete re-think. Make him a figurehead without power.

We no longer have "the moral high ground." No one respects the US any more. They either manipulate the "president" to get what they want from him (Putin, et al), or they just laugh at his antics. The very fact that we're even considering live streaming means we're about as low as we can go.

Weirdly, Caligula lasted 4 years. Ferdinand Marcos stole $5-10 Billion USD from his own treasury. Trump's decadence and cruelty has gone on longer than a Roman emperor, and he has, by all accounts stolen billions with more to come. He needs a very long prison sentence if we're ever going to recover.
