Even beyond this, I don't get the desire to narrow the scope of the genre. It's not like there's a limited supply of yuri to go around and someone calling a CGDCT anime about girls going camping or a girl band anime yuri means you get less romantic yuri.

Do people really not realize that the lack of kissing or other acts of physical intimacy is kind of a universal complaint about romance anime? There are straight romance anime with 3 times the runtime of Sayolara that never get a kiss. There are plenty that never even get past the love confession.
