Uh, maybe because even if it were legal, its intent is obviously to keep Democrats WHO ARE CITIZENS from voting because they fear being racially profiled and having their human and civil rights abused by organizations that have been doing so non-stop since this regime came into power?

Wrong. Like the mafioso he is, Trump constantly makes people do bad things and thus compromise themselves to get his favors. Once they have done so and broken their own taboos, he has sth over them and they are also less inhibited in the future. This is crucial to understanding his impact.

I want everyone to additionally realize that it was ALSO FALSE THAT THE WOMEN WOULD HAVE DONE THIS SHIT. The lie always has two parts – deceit about the target and deceit about the perpetrator. You have to debunk both parts or the lie about the target sticks despite the other part being debunked.

90% of influential American pundits are just building an ideology around whoever cheesed them off online or in life and have no intellectual coherence at all – they just use intellectual rhetorical tools to make totally unserious bullshit harder (i.e. more time-consuming) to refute.

If it weren't for the fact that money buys power in our corrupt system no out-of-state suits would have clout anyway. Corruption inevitably elevates people with the wrong qualities to positions of power (the unelected operators who pick their puppets as they play board games with our lives).

Fredriksen and her “social democratic” copycats in Europe have chosen to mirror the racism they suspect their countrypeople of rather than representing a countervailing vision of society, and in the process have validated it and made it stronger as they rationalize their own cowardly capitulation.

It’s their general siege-mentality mindset embracing yet another persecution fantasy. Everything they are and do is persecuted – tomorrow they will discover that someone made fun of white socks and they will decry the fact that now even white socks get them canceled. Same shit different meme.

NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 22/06/2026
I wish you would do that instead of demanding they do it. In contrast to the Italian prime minister, women journalists in the US have to worry about their livelihoods in a sexist society that will not have their backs if they "talk back." So why don't you risk your own livelihood for their sake?
011
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 22/06/2026
That's right, it will make no difference and they will actually take it as validation that they have a point. But the right is always validated in Europe because immigrants are talked about like a scourge to be tolerated even by parties that claim to value human rights. Immigrants have no defenders.

It’s a “narrative feature” unrelated to facts because the concepts are just proxies for whiteness, nothing more. But we stupidly take them at face value and discuss them as if they were actual virtues, or hypocrisy, when in fact they are just racist signifiers that mean nothing more than “my tribe.”

If policies fostered real competition instead of quasi-monopolistic cartels, prices and profits would be lower; if higher wages were law, profits would flow more to workers; and if the people who benefit most from society paid their fair share, wealth would be more fairly DISTRIBUTED from the start.
010
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 22/06/2026
Instead of framing it as “redistribution,” it would help if attention were focused on the policies that enable such profits and direct all of them to the owners in the first place. We are conditioned to ignore the parameters that create the initial distribution and then talk about “redistribution.”

The right deliberately OCCUPY patriotism/religion/sacred symbols of White/American virtue as a tactical weapon and shield against accountability. To then adopt their cynical framing as well – as if they were actually patriotic, and their critics not – is the height of self-undermining stupidity.

NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 17/06/2026
Responding to a racist POS calling Michele Obama a man by saying/showing that she is a wonderful woman is a big, common mistake in dealing with bigoted fuckwits. It validates the question by answering it. Always ONLY answer the fact that they're bigoted shitheads. Point the answer at the problem.

They are only so bold because they can hide behind Trump’s skirt. They only seem worse than him because hating people is their only occupation, while he dabbles in all the vices. White supremacism is his operating system.

What a cop-out considering that it could just as well lead to men pursuing societal change in line with their hopes. Toxic masculinity is promoted to them as another means of channeling their grievances. It’s just an excuse if you don’t bother asking “why does it go this way and not that?”.
030
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
You are too willing to dismiss people’s idea when they are lured into trying to argue it pseudo-scientifically rather than really trying to figure out if there is more to it than simply being hoodwinked. Because people being hoodwinked is your lumpen-mass theory of it.
000
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
It doesn’t account at all for what a sense of precarity does to perceptions. It doesn’t distinguish between Covid aftereffects and the Trumpocalypse.
100
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
You are missing the point here. Not that all your data is wrong, but that it doesn’t tell half the story. It doesn’t distinguish between the rationality and the delusion that are mixed up in that aggregate populace.

NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
I know my dad had a good job for 40 years and then wound up driving a school bus. I know I’ll be ruined if I have to go to the doctor. My income says nothing about how secure I feel looking rationally at the calamities that will happen to me if I have any number of very possible life events.
110
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
The reality is that Ricky-Bob’s rich and all the reasons he frets are deluded, but actually he’s hanging from a thread in ways he is totally blind to, while I know I’m not destitute now but I notice that my favorite cereal costs 7 bucks and that my job and my rights are very much under threat.
100
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
You’re doing fine because Ricky-Bob and his 80-grand truck who thinks he’s poor and you with your old Toyota also think you’re poor, on average you’re both wrong.
100
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
Such squishy descriptions are scoffed at, so people reach for more technical explanations and are then dismissed for making arguments unsupported by aggregate numbers that average you and your neighbor’s salary and reality-basis and tell you that you’re doing fine.

NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
Don’t support what? Being concerned by the higher-than-before price of staples coupled with the sense of doom created by watching your government disintegrate civilizational institutions that you intuit are important for your future security?
110
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
Second, the reality is that some people (all or some of the time) are reacting to false beliefs they hold, while others are reacting rationally to the obvious precarity of being ruled by evil morons. Your theory takes all of that and says “the numbers don’t support any of it.”
110
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
You dismiss people trying to find a unifying theory, but you have a unifying theory yourself. The mistake is in trying to find the unifying theory. First, Covid was a historic, singular event, so even if trends that started then have continued, it doesn’t mean you are observing a single trend.
110
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
The vibecession is also asymmetric. The reasons that people rate the economy poorly are different across groups and across time and lumping it all together is as pointless as saying “Americans down on US democracy.” There’s no single phenomenon there, but multiple, sometimes opposing ones.
131
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
Everything is asymmetric, like polling on the state of US democracy. Republicans say it’s bad because of their self-brainwashed siege mentality and hatred of demonized others, while everyone else reasonably thinks it’s horrible because they are ruled by deluded fascist Republicans who hate them.
100
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 28/05/2026
Yes, everyone’s wrong; but the “we just don’t understand it” stance is a cop-out. You clearly have a theory: brain rot due to nefarious social-media effects. That’s one salient point. But you dismiss others as unsupported even though they are not really quantifiable as such.

NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 23/05/2026
Who says the reason has to be the same now?
000
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 22/05/2026
Maybe, beneath the deeply conditioned and cultivated stupidity of much of society, people have a vague sense that a certain moron is destroying the foundation on which their security and prosperity rests. And maybe this inkling has been rising ever since 2016 ...

NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 12/05/2026
But you have gotten off track by centering your thinking too much around two few ideas and by arguing too much with idiots. I'm not trying to scold you – I just wish you would stop and recalibrate, because you have the power to do society a service with your thinking and perseverance.
100
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 12/05/2026
I write this as a person who originally followed you because I think you're smart and that your ability to see things other people are blind to and willingness to assert them in the face of resistance is super valuable.
100
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 12/05/2026
You should stop arguing with people so much and just write and think more, and publish on that basis instead. Fighting with people incessantly causes you to dig in more than you should and deforms your thinking around that opposition and too few of your own data points.
100
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 12/05/2026
The pity is that your premise explains a lot more than people realize or admit, but not everything. But when people push back in cases when you are missing something, you adopt a scoffing posture that turns your intellectual virtue of the dissident's independence into a trap.
100
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 12/05/2026
The only internet phenomenon more powerful than your hobby horse of social incentives is what you demonstrate: deformed thinking shaped around a core premise for which you are pilloried or which you think is unrecognized. Everything becomes about that and you get blind to other explanations.
100
NOBULL @nobullprize.bsky.social · 05/05/2026
Two thoughts: 1. I would have no idea any of these idiots even existed if you weren't going on about it. 2. You perform a valuable service when you increase friction on them by calling out people's fallacies. When you let yourself become grist for their mill, the effect is reversed.

This is typical of the infantilization of Republican voters, which they gleefully accept since they love to excuse everything they do as provoked, that is so vain and self-undermining. They are RESPONSIBLE for what they do like everyone else. This plays right into their sense of entitlement.

Our pundit class maintains it because their various business models are based on it. For right-wingers it's professional propaganda and for leftish ones, scolding their ostensible comrades is the business model and their route to prominence. Thinking is not even a consideration.

Their business models revolve around scolding liberals and they don’t know any right-wingers in real life. If you grew up with the so-called “real Americans” of midwestern diners, you are mad at them because you know they have agency and that their complaints about liberal America are total BS.

I reject the premise that the pre-Covid model of social engagement was desirable. It could have been a time of reflection, but the buzz of people’s withdrawal symptoms turned it into a battle won by the people who couldn’t stand it. Who now scold us for not fully reassuming their favorite position.

I can deal with AI bullshit. What I can’t stand is not being able to tell if humans are being serious or not, and watching them giggle with their clued-in mates, as if holding something behind their back and saying “which hand?” were a form of knowledge that makes them smarter than you. So useless.

Way more going on here. A lot of the “vibes” are insincere cover for other motives. At the same time, many people feel existential insecurity b/c upheaval has made their future unpredictable. Any explanation of these disparate streams as a single narrative is invalid because the premise is wrong.
