Are you a journalist or just a PR person for those companies? Those are fantasy numbers pulled out of the ass that are not backed by anything other than a desire to hype the company for their IPO.

those are just statistical models, they can't know anything. they will deny your insurance coverage because that's what health insurance company will design them to do. anthropomorphizing those tools only serve to remove responsibility from the companies that uses them.

yeah the ruling class is giving tanks to the cops and putting surveillance camera on every street corner because they aren't afraid of people coming for capitalism. They used to be able to rely on most Americans being as propagandized as you, but it's failing.

I got beaten pretty hard by cops protesting the genocide in Gaza when Biden was president. The entire political system in the US is underpinned by the threat of state and state sponsored violence. Though most Americans think it's just one party, and that's not small part of the problem.

My father was a high school teacher and his most prized possession is a carefully preserved collection of the notes he got from his students. We digitized it for his birthday a few years back and I was just having a good cry the entire time

I don't think covid assistance was unpopular, and in any case, it wasn't demand from the public that made the US government roll it all back. It was corrupt politicians of both parties of prioritized "the economy" and "going back to normal" over helping Americans, like they always do

Libya was the most prosperous country in Africa and the US turned it into a failed state with open slave markets. Syria is currently ruled by an ex al qaeda strongman. Also for real, the US regime changed those country because they were enemies of Israel, not because human rights or Democracy.

Anthropology was born out of colonialism and was predictably extremally racist. In the cold war, the US deliberately shaped it into a pro American imperialism discipline. It's not unrelated to how Graeber ended up enthusiastically supporting a bunch of American a regime change wars

MIRI are such unserious people. Has no on his staff did basic research about who Eliezer Yudkowsky is? And as fun as it is to laugh at the guy who got famous writing a I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE fan fic of Harry Potter, that side of "AI safety" is shitty in pretty dangerous ways

This narrative that Kurds nationalists are getting tricked to work with the US and Israel is just not true. They are willing collaborators and they are getting paid, a lot. The PKK never worked with the US and never waivered on their anti-zionism, so it's not all Kurds, just the ones US media like

Mane Quest is a great name for a website, some might argue it's the best name for a website about horses and videogames
Jin’s story begins on horseback, at the side of his uncle Lord Shimura.

The three standard choices are a black horse, a dapple grey, and a “white” one. Here’s where the game makes its first relatively obvious horse mistake: a horse with a white coat but dark skin is actually called a grey/gray, whereas a true white horse would have unpigmented pink skin visible around eyes and muzzle. Oh well, we’ve seen worse, but it’s still a bit annoying because it’s such a common misconception.I owe you an apology. I wasn't really familiar with your game.

But to be more fair, the Beatles fucked underage girls (Paul McCartney famously so, but you read about the band it's very likely all of them did) so maybe we just don't need to run apologia for those celebrities.

Fear not, Americans will continue to learn about the world from the CIA, it's what the US media is for. Though for real I got to ask, you really think there is like a different benevolent CIA than the one doing all the torture and nazi stuff?

I can totally see the Democrats impeaching him again. You can spend a lot of time making speeches during the proceeding and everyone knows it will never lead to anything meaningful because they don't have the majority in the senate for a conviction. In a sense it's the perfect dem policy.

The US should have no bases in Greenland, but in all this Greenland discourse the basic decent option of "Yankee go home" is never ever brought up. If Greenland gets independence they most likely try to kick the US military and I'd imagine the US would just say no, regardless of who is president

Republicans care about what their base think about as much as Democrats do. It's not what drives policy, and in a system like the US's you will always have sizeable support for the position of a major party. The problem is the rich fucks who are paying for all of this

What people want don't matter nearly as much as what the donor class want. And the rich in this country absolutely love the idea of a violent and militarized law enforcement, which is why I have zero expectations of Democrats cutting funding for that agency, let alone abolishing it

Iranians don't speak in a single voice, but those that get platformed in the western media want liberals to support regime changing Iran, and most of them already do. So they punch left at the people who don't think that this will finally be the good middle east regime change.

nobody really @nobodyreally.bsky.social · 16/01/2026
Both try to get the American left to support regime changing Iran. Personally, as someone who think the US should leave them alone and lift the brutal and inhuman sanctions we put on them, I am not all that impressed that the new yorker is better at selling regime change than the Atlantic

I think the main reason Democrats don't move to defund and abolish ICE is that the party is filled with people who love the idea of ICE. It's not fear of confrontation or a tactical mistake, it's who they are and what they believe in. Their actions speak very loud.

I am not what you would call a "political junkie" and I'm sure as hell don't live in Minnesota, so I'm pretty sure the first time I heard of Tim Walz was when he sent the national guard on the George Floyd protests, and I think my initial impression of him was probably correct

People like Joe Biden hate the left way more than they hate Republicans. They aren't even hiding it, and it's why they keep funding the tools that are designed to suppress the left. They aren't stupid, they are your enemy.

We need to defund and abolish ICE. And honestly, it's way past time that we start primarying any Democrat who refuse to commit to this goal. Miss me with this "we're gonna do a committee who will make recommendations". When did it ever worked to curb police violence in this country?

The American ruling class have a long and very well documented love affair with both eugenics and sex crimes, I don't think those people had to tolerate either, Epstein being into both opened a lot of doors for him I'm sure.

I think if SCOTUS steps in, it will be just tell the Trump admin how to do tariffs without congress "the right way", which I'd imagine would be the way the Obama and Biden admins did it. I would honestly be shocked if they limit him more than they did Dem administrations.
