One of my coworkers gave me two full banker’s boxes of Anne McCaffrey books, and this is what I’m keeping after filtering out the doubles. Even with this I still need *seventeen* more books to have a complete collection of *just* the Pern books.

Twenty-nine books by Anne McCaffrey, arranged in two piles size-by-side. Most of them are mass-market paperbacks but annoyingly a bunch are hardcover so they’re all different sizes and won’t look good on the shelf.

They did this piece for me about four years ago now and it was so much fun even just talking through it and figuring out how it was going to look when it was done. It was my first time commissioning art from anyone, but Grey even managed to make that a delight, me not having a clue what I was doing.

It’s honestly like…I don’t even know, the internet is awful. Everything about this is an overreaction to the most preposterous degree. She wrote a thing that she was taking from her real life experiences and then started blocking people who were getting aggressive about not liking the answer.

No joke this dude took like six hours to build and prime, but I’m real happy with it! Still gotta do some painting before finishing subassemblies but it was a great build. Plus, huge!

I missed a series in my backwards Gundam watch, so now that I’ve finished Witch from Mercury I’m moving *slightly* forward to Requiem for Vengeance. My first reaction is that this looks like it wants to be Fallout 4, we’ll see if it gets better I guess
