Through the 1970s, the average cost of a home in the US was about the same as the average cost of a car today. And now, there's probably at least a million people forced to live in their car. I don't know what the future holds, but... I know we're all pretty well f*cked. #winning #blessed

Not surprising. Most claims of Fair Use aren't actually Fair Use.

I think the impressionable, consumerist drones who waste money on iced coffee might be exactly what they're looking for...

There must be some crucial differences, because I like hot dogs and I don't like bologna.

I was gonna say, "same", but then I remembered Once Human had a tutorial for it. Had to do it to get to the next tutorial. I later used it for the artwork to decorate my base, which was buggy and didn't display right. Generally, I don't care about photo mode. Once Human didn't really change that.

Sorry, are these two different conversations? What do you think works? Just about every driver on the road understands zipper merging doesn't usually work. Most don't understand WHEN you're actually supposed to use it, less understand WHY you should use it, and fewer still will ever do it properly.

Hard to imagine anyone broadcasting this isn't guilty of the exact same stuff that's pissing them off.

Just trolling? Implying stupid drivers are exclusive to a certain vehicle type is asinine.

Zipper merging is mostly irrelevant if there isn't lots of traffic, and it works well when done properly, in a circumstance that actually dictates a zipper merge. Selfish, ignorant people are the problem. Selfish, ignorant people are usually the problem.

As far as I know, every driver in the US has a legal obligation to avoid an accident if possible. This tweet is now highly problematic if you get into an accident at a stop sign.

I don't think women are aggressive drivers in a desperate urge to feel manlier, but maybe there is some data more reliable than my anecdotal feelings...

Yeah, sigh. The often poorly understood and poorly applied zipper merge, and its very specific use cases.

Yeah? No city in the US "is really set up to be pedestrian or biking", so that checks out. I can think of one FL city probably about as good as any other US city. What's really interesting is that I also lived in Florida 11 years. Never got personal experience with ALL the FL cities in that time...

Green onions are amazing. Parsley is useless. Probably no meaningful grounds for this to be an American thing, since a quick look at almost any American grocery store/kitchen has it fresh or dried. And a quick search shows the US using somewhere over 20 million pounds a season.

NobleValerian @noblevalerian.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
It's gotta be none. I keep trying dried and fresh in all kinds of stuff and it's never elevated anything for me. I really don't get it. I definitely wouldn't lump green onions in the same category as parsley.

Used to be when I knew less about cooking. Could never get the hang of omelettes, and just settled for scrambled. Easy to mix in whatever I want and get nearly endless variety. But... a few years ago my go-to became the frittata. Even easier, and still nearly endless variety.

Many Uber drivers should not be Uber drivers. More importantly, no one should depend on tips for a reasonable living wage. Nevermind the more disturbing problems with Uber drivers. So, let's hear some meaningful arguments, instead of whatever this is.

Unfortunately, that is highly unlikely. If all those people voted things probably wouldn't have turned out any different. It's also worth noting the number of people who were eligible to vote is probably 4-5x higher than the number of people that were registered and didn't.

Fair. I'm tired of all these unnecessary deaths from inconsiderate train operators honking their obnoxiously loud horns at vulnerable road users who ignored the bars, flashing red lights, and rocky, metal lines of a railway and then decided to kill them and not instantly stop their vehicle. Absurd.

An air fryer isn't even a fryer. It's a small convection oven, which have been around for over a century, I think, and it only works well for small portions of pre-coated frozen food. Not ENTIRELY useless, but not exactly "revolutionary".

I'm thirsty for other countries to realize how close they are to where we are, to control their hateful, baseless prejudices, check their rampant ignorance, and maybe even have some empathy for the millions upon millions of people that didn't get to choose this outcome. I certainly don't expect it.

NobleValerian @noblevalerian.bsky.social · 03/09/2026
Because you lack the ability to look up food safety issues for your own country, or because you genuinely think your country doesn't have these issues? Pretty embarrassing either way. But most recently your pizza pops and pistachios, and fairly recently your Silk and Cantaloupes resulting in death.

NobleValerian @noblevalerian.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
No one cares what you're buying, and no one is cramming anything down your throat. You can virtue signal and broadcast your national pride all day. But anyone acting like Canada doesn't have the same food safety problems is delusional or ignorant.
100
NobleValerian @noblevalerian.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
Kinda my point. Canadian products made in Canada by Canadians are also making people sick and killing people. And the majority of food safety recalls in the US and Canada are from imported goods. "We don't buy American" and "not worried about being poisoned by Canadian groceries" is just stupid.

NobleValerian @noblevalerian.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
Don't be. Anyone making this claim is just oblivious.

NobleValerian @noblevalerian.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
Oh, unless you're one of those people that like to pay more for no reason, about $4/gallon. If you pretend the place you like to shop actually has better quality for the higher prices, or gets their stuff from somewhere else, $5-6/gallon. But everyone in the US can get decent quality milk for ~$4.

NobleValerian @noblevalerian.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
A gallon is on par with a "decent" loaf of bread, but a significantly better purchasing decision, nutritionally. Unless you're lactose intolerant and/or don't own a fridge... but, clearly not the case here. So, this doesn't make any sense.
