Human authors cannot coexist with GenAI. The gardener carefully removes all invasive, self-sowing species of plants. If she didn’t, her whole garden would become a monoculture of weeds. If we want richly diverse human stories tomorrow, we cannot tolerate GenAI today.

Ah thank you so much! I was blown away by your blurb—when I first sat down to write A Botanical Daughter I thought of it as Science Fiction and then gradually stopped emphasising that in pitches. But you articulated that classic mad science element so beautifully!
