Not to be an internet corrector, but i am pretty sure this is the Chinese medicinal cook, who incorporates a lot of traditional medicine stuff for ~healing qualities~, if i recall correctly. They make a big deal out of it in the episode as the chef changes his philosophies after his son's illness
