Sitting in the park, watching someone curious walk by, and my next story just leapt to mind. Writing is a LOT of fun - even if publishing isn't!

I got something similar, purportedly from an actual author who I follow, saying they liked what I had posted. I had just posted for some pitch events, so I thought perhaps it was genuine. Replied once, got a very suspicious answer back, and now the account has been deleted. AI is changing things.

If one more person at work says “I researched it” ie - put it into Gemini, I’m gonna puke. It’s a summary of a web search, they didn’t even read the webpages. They now one or two sentences of “knowledge” on the topic. Hard to believe we’re going to make ourselves stupider. But here we are.

Take them all out - Republicans, Democrats, I don’t care. If people are doing the things alleged, they are not only unfit for public office, they should face the full extent of the criminal liability.

Ha. Ok then. I guess we’ll see. You all must think the Seahawks are the ultimate juggernauts.

So you think the Patriots will give up the most points they’ve given up all season, while simultaneously scoring as few points as they’ve scored all season? So they’ll play the worst game of the year on both sides of the ball?

Everpresence Technology is power. No one knows that better than the Goldingays, who run Everpresence, the most powerful company in the world. Their discoveries benefit everyone, but they may not be what they seem, and only Fin can challenge them. The problem: Fin doesn’t care. #A #SF #OS #QuestPit

I don’t disagree - but there is enough history in the Super Bowl that nothing is a sure thing in 2 weeks.

A Patriots fan from 2007 raising my hand. I don’t disagree that last week the Seahawks looked far better. But nothing is automatic.

Ah yes, the party of states’ rights flexing here. There is a reason all the states do it differently - the Election clause anyone ? Elections are not federally controlled. Any guesses as to who has fought for that over the years?

3 teams won down 15 in the 4th this year. None of them won because they went for 2. The Bills went for one with 3:56. Titans went for 1. Jets went for 2, but then went back down by 14. 2022 - Vikings def Colts. Went for one, went for two. Won in OT. Small sample size. Cowboys are outlier.

You ALWAYS know what you need! Odds of converting are no better and no worse now vs later. The downside risk is far too great. The math says .5% better chance to win. All game long “make it a one score game.” Then risk it with 3:00 to go? When is it better to be down 9 than down 8?

Rocky IV, when Rocky finally hits Ivan Drago… the entire crowd erupted. Height of the Cold War and all that. And Independence Day when they blew up the White House. That also got a loud cheer.

I know trains aren’t a priority in the US, but when a trip is 4.5 hrs late - on a 5.5 hr trip - and you miss an international flight because Amtrak can’t figure itself out, it’s pretty hard to take.
