Visited Japan again last month, and one of the hightlights was getting to see the nemophila/baby blue eye flowers during peak blooming season at Hitachi Seaside Park 💙🩵

Want to support an Indigenous writer today? Here's my Indigenous-coded fantasy inspired by my late grandmother, the Pookitapiiks, and the Makoyohsokoyi. 🐺🌌 "Star Berry and the Wolf Trail" is published in Augur 7.1: augursociety.org/star-berry-a... My dog is also a prime inspiration 🐾 🧡

I finished reading The Man Made of Smoke by Alex North / @alexnorth.co.uk, one of my favourite authors. I finished it in less than half a day; I just couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed it! The tense atmosphere, the suspense, and the relationship between father and son. I highly recommend it!

Finished reading Breath of the Dragon by Shannon Lee & Fonda Lee / @fondalee.bsky.social -- what a fantastic journey! Action-packed with fascinating world-building, an intriguing plot, and great characters. Highly recommended. I can't wait to read the next book!

Happy to receive this "Nessie" art print by Margie Lucier, a Canadian artist: www.mlpaintings.org It's a perfect addition to my night sky/milky way/etc aesthetic collection of artwork and home decor -- not to mention my love for Nessie! I'll never forget my visit to Loch Ness.

Finished The Scholar and the Last Faerie Door by H.G. Parry. What an absolute delight to read, centered on academia, fae magic, and complicated friendships. I loved the writing; it was so descriptive yet straightforward, and thoroughly engaging to read. Highly recommended!
