@copperpenny6.bsky.social from September of 2025; a year ago. We had a nice walk through the woods, took a whole bunch of photos. This photo is SafeForWork and non-sexual in nature. The other croppings of this photo are NSFW, as seen in another post.

Nude woman with strawberry blonde hair, freckles, and a few tattoos, standing with her back against a tree trunk, with her arms raised over her head, holding the trunk. Her head is turned to her right, looking into the distance.
The horizontal photo is cropped from above her outstretched hands to her chest above her breasts, emphasizing her look. This photo is SafeForWork and non-sexual in nature.

Masha, from 2018. Different light settings, all from the same back-lit window. She was a fun and creative model to work with; I believe she's retired these days? This was a fun session; I'll be posting more, for sure. #nude #nudemodel #lightsettings #backlit www.instagram.com/mashaposes/

She is partly lit, but mostly in shadow. Her arms are held up, over her chest.

She is seen almost entirely in silhouette. Her right arm is elbow akimbo, hand on her waist, her left arm has one finger reaching out to the side in a sort of beckoning or pointing position.

In 2017, I made my first foray into erotic photography. This is from that first session. A very spicy ginger was kind enough to model for me, and was not shy about being as spicy as she wanted to be! #SpicyGinger #Explicit #Insertion #FoundDildo #GlassBottle #NotAssociatedWithAnyBeverageCompany

IMHO, a black and white photo of a redhead is like a black and white photo of a sunset. The clouds may still be beautiful, but it's the colors that really make it!

Not that I don't appreciate others' work! I do, very much! But my page is about my own work, and I appreciate others' work on their own pages. Maybe I should consider sharing more; what is your opinion of re-posting?

I've never re-posted before. But I happened to see in my feed two photos back to back, both with a model named "Anna." Very different, but both beautiful in their own ways. @cadrages.bsky.social and @yeos-photo.bsky.social

It was supposed to go 2025, 2024, 2023, hiatus, 2019. I put '24 twice; my typo. The B&W anonymous photo was from 2023. Not that it really matters, but it matters to me, so I'm adding this comment, since we cannot edit once posted.

a trip down memory lane: 2025, with instagram.com/peachic3 2024, with @riannnova.bsky.social 2024, with an anonymous model ...on hiatus... 2019, with an anonymous couple

1352

NMRtist @nmrtist.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

But barring some specific reason, I agree: to network and give credit to those creative people involved should be the norm. Models should credit photogs, too.

040

NMRtist @nmrtist.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

Some prefer to stay anonymous. Some don't have social media- so you could list a name, but no link. Some may be sharing older work, and the model has retired, and wants to stay that way. There may be other valid reasons.

010

NMRtist @nmrtist.bsky.social · 02/04/2026

I have, actually! I tried taping some translucent paper over the light, to see if that cut down on the multi-shadow effect. I can't say for sure whether the experiment was successful or not, as the effect doesn't seem to show up every time, anyway. But it's always worth trying new things, right?

010

NMRtist @nmrtist.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

Beautiful exposures; really creative and expressive!

010

NMRtist @nmrtist.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

The main advantage is that they are inexpensive! Way cheaper than a big lighting setup. They are also very portable, small, easy to carry to a location or anywhere. Battery-powered. They also have a loop to hang from something, and magnets on the back, to stick to a metal stand, or something.

000

NMRtist @nmrtist.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

Another disadvantage is that these are LED lights; each LED is in a row, and sometimes this can cause the effect of several small lights, each with their own shadows, rather than a single consistent light. It doesn't happen in every shot, but I have noticed the effect in some photos.

200

NMRtist @nmrtist.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

One disadvantage is that it takes up your model's hands, so you have to make sure their hands are out of shot, or can be cropped out- and the pose will need to be with her arms in a position to hold the lights. It could be done with a couple of assistants, if you have them, which I don't.

120

NMRtist @nmrtist.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

The very first images I shared here on BlueSky- the torso lit from the sides: same setup. Dark studio, one light wand in each hand. The model can move the lights up or down or front or back or twist the direction slightly = different shadows. Easier to adjust than fixed lights on a stand.

NMRtist @nmrtist.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

2018, Masha Poses. Lit with only two hand-held light wands from Menards hardware store, as can be seen in the fourth photo. I've used these lights several times. They have some advantages and disadvantages, but overall I've found them very effective. And inexpensive, for a photog on a budget!

They went ahead and added a "non-sexual artistic nudity" label, as well! Boy, I can't figure these guys out. Whatever. Small annoyances, in the grand scheme of things. I'm just happy to share my work where like-minded folks and I can appreciate each other.

041

NMRtist @nmrtist.bsky.social · 13/03/2026

I put a "sexually explicit nudity" label on this, but it isn't, really: the nudity in these is mild- just a few nipples- and purely artistic. But the 'bots here seem to add the "sexual" label to even artistic nudes, so I figured I'd save them the trouble. Have you noticed that?
