*Note: we have a discrepancy with SIHF's PP%. They seem to calculate NL's average PP% as the rounded average of goals per team (59 / 14 = 4) divided by the rounded average of PP opportunities per team (211 / 14 = 15): 4/15 = 26.67%. www.sihf.ch/de/game-cent...

📊🏒 STAT OF THE DAY: PP% After 37 games played, or 10% of the season, NL's power-plays are doing pretty well and even broke the visual. 59 goals on 211 opportunities for a PP% of ... 28%.

What a final! Another early lead for Fribourg and Davos played catch-up once again, ending ahead on shots, chances and xG. But Fribourg's magic did the thing in OT.

Game of the year? No doubt about it. HC Davos comes back from 0-3 to win Game V in OT. Fribourg had obliterated them in the 1st period, though, creating more xG that in game IV ! Davos found its way back as the game opened up more than usual. What a weird series.

Fribourg wins Game III in double OT. Pretty simple scenario: Davos attacked pretty much all night (less in OT2), with 90 shot attempts versus 50. But the few chances Gottéron created were very dangerous, leading to a tie game at 5v5 on xG.

HC Davos takes game II in Fribourg to tie the series. Davos was ahead again at 5v5 Fribourg was more dangerous on the PP again (very dangerous) Early lead was decisive, again. Lots of fun ahead

Game 5 goes to Fribourg vs. Geneva. Gottéron joins Davos for the 2025/26 Final! Another tight game: Geneva started well, but Fribourg was clinical. A tight and defensive series overall, especially at 5v5, but Fribourg seemed in control most of the time.

HC Davos quilifies for the Finals, eliminating the double champion ZSC with an OT win on game V. Another tight 5v5 game but ZSC had many power-play chances but could not get past Aeschlimann (or his posts). Davos continues to find ways to win this season.

NL Ice Data @nlicedata.com · 09/04/2026
Another low-event game in this series. HC Davos wins Game III by the smallest margin possible, but fully deserved the victory, shutting down Zurich at 5v5 and on the power-play.

NL Ice Data @nlicedata.com · 09/04/2026
Game 3 goes to Fribourg vs. Geneva. Another tight and low-event game at 5v5. Geneva tried to push in the third, but Fribourg was able to control their lead, blocking Geneva very well in the neutral zone once again. Berra was solid, when Charlin did not face mamy SOG.

ZSC wins game II 3-1 after a dominant third period, leaving nothing to HCD. Not that many shots but a lot of quality chances from Zürich, as usual, also bloking Davos from attacking in the meantime.

NL Ice Data @nlicedata.com · 07/04/2026
Game 2 goes to Geneva vs. Fribourg. A second tight and defensive 5v5 game, despite what the score may indicate. Geneva was clinical at converting their chances and until Fribourg's push in the third, they didn't allow many chances.

NL Ice Data @nlicedata.com · 05/04/2026
Game 1 goes to Fribourg vs. Geneva. As expected, a tight game all along and that could have gone both ways. Fribourg did a good job controlling its lead in the third. They built their success in the neutral zone: only 22% of Geneva's entries were controlled.
011
NL Ice Data @nlicedata.com · 05/04/2026
Davos wins the first game 4-2 but ZSC was close to get this one. After a strong start from HCD, ZSC turned the game around and kept Davos in their zone almost the whole 3rd period. But, like many times this season, Davos found a way in the last minutes.

Game 7 goes to Geneva vs. Lausanne. Tight game overall, both teams preventing transitions well. But Geneva took an early and seemed in control for most of the game. Intense fight and close series until its very end. Geneva will face Fribourg in another derby.
011
NL Ice Data @nlicedata.com · 02/04/2026
Game 6 was a steal but game 7 was fully Fribourg's, with a legit big push in the 3rd to tie the game and taking over the OT. Rappi looked spent. But what a fight.

NL Ice Data @nlicedata.com · 01/04/2026
Game 6 goes to Geneva vs. Lausanne. Despite trailing 3-0, Geneva made an unlikely comeback, tying the game with 3 PP goals and scoring the GWG in OT. Their first PP unit and line with Puljujärvi, Manninen and Granlund made the difference, present on all GSHC's goals.

Game 6 Fribourg needed to win. They won.

Game 5 goes to Lausanne vs. Geneva. At 5v5, a game more open than some of the previous ones, with more pace in the neutral zone. Geneva pushed hard until they took a 2-1 lead. But Lausanne came back on a rush goal by Jäger and scored the GWG on the PP in th 3rd.

NL Ice Data @nlicedata.com · 28/03/2026
Game 4 goes to Geneva vs. Lauanne. An early lead on the PP by Geneva, who tried to control the pace of the game afterwards at its lowest level and was able to surprise Lausanne on counter-attacks, with 3 goals. A late push by Lausanne, but the gap was too important.

Another tight game, another win for ZSC, sweeping their series against Lugano after that 2-1 win on the road. Zurich was not dominant per the numbers over the four games, but really morphed into their old selves from last season. Cold, collected, clinical. HCL fought well!

No suspense in game 3, with HC Davos scoring 3 goals very early and shutting down EVZ 1for almost 30 minutes. Zug pushed in the 3rd period to get their game going before the next game.

NL Ice Data @nlicedata.com · 25/03/2026
Game 3 goes to Fribourg vs. Rapperswil. Fribourg was able to finally convert its chances. They also did well limiting Rapperswil's chance at 5v5, preventing them from entering in control and slowing them in the neutral zone.

NL Ice Data @nlicedata.com · 24/03/2026
Game 2 went to Lausanne vs. Geneva. As compared to Game 1, there was more offense from both sides, but GSHC had the adge at 5v5 and on the PP, where they created most of their xG. Pasche was a difference maker for Lausanne, despite Geneva's activity around his crease

Game 1 went to GSHC against Lausanne. Two well structured teams, a tight neutral zone, both teams deniyng entries well, which resulted in a low-event and tight game at 5v5. Geneva added many chances from its PP. The GWG came on a late point shot by Puljujärvi.

ZSC wins game 1 against Lugano but the Bianconeri had a clear edge over the game, but could not put the puck past Hrubec. ZSC got his killer touch back, like last season.

Game 1 went to the Lakers vs. Gotteron! High-event game, internse from the start until the very end. Rapperswil was clinical, while Fribourg wasn't able to capitalize on its many chances. Borgström with his passes and Rattie with his 10 shots led Firbourg's offense.

🏒📊 The ZSC Lions are the 2025 NL Champions! Another tight game overall. Zürich got most of its chances on the PP and scored on its GWG for the title on a PP rebound. Lausanne had the edge at 5v5, but wasn't able to create much on its PPs.
