Hal Jordan in Lanterns is like the first time I've seen comic book fans really, truly and enthusiastically hope for a character to NOT stay dead. Clearly, I need to watch this show

Yuppp, genuinely thinking about how to hijack it back. We should take back whimsy while we're at it too

Yeah, I usually don't watch it tbh. I was actually watching/ reading some people criticizing "divine feminine" and / or pink pill content, and I started getting curious. I like the OG concept of divine femininity, not whatever the alt-right is cooking up these days

Hmmmm, very interesting. I was actually just thinking about the intersection between paganism and matriarchy / patriarchy, especially as a Haitian woman (some of my ancestors practiced voodoo). I think the term "divine feminine" has been hijacked by the right tbh. Like colonizing 2.0 or smth

Yeah, it feels like maybe 5 years ago it actually was about embracing your personhood as a woman, and then it got hijacked, but I can't prove it yet

I'm just glad I'm not the only one who was confused 😭

right??? Like I'm genuinely perplexed. Apparently it's called "pinkpilled" content, which evidently I was also confused about because it's not about women's systemic oppression 💀😭?

That's what I thought too, until I saw some videos where they were like you have to find a man in his "masculine" and I was just like wait...what?

Deadass I thought divine feminine and feminine energy was about embracing your personhood & womanhood, reconnecting with nature and finding magic & divinity in your existence not being submissive and upholding traditional values wtf 💀💀💀

Sometimes I feel awful because someone else has characters with the exact same aesthetic as my characters (because what if they accuse me of plagiarism or smth), but then I remember rofan manwhas and shonen protagonists who mostly all look the same so I'm probably finally tbh

Well, I don't really mean the way men have bastardised the word "simp". I mean like the buying a woman's bathwater and getting back with her after she cheated on him kinda simp. Not the he treats his partner with respect kinda simp 💀. If that makes sense 😅
