The level design is unmatched though. I hope they win every award for this. It’s super smart and there are subtle hints if you keep your eyes open. It can be annoying if you’re stuck but usually it gives you all the tools to solve the problems.

I’m still pretty early (maybe 10 hours in) but the lack of a parry and a super standard attack toolset makes combat super repetitive. I hope some cool abilities will help. Also, why can’t Dylan pick stuff up and throw it at enemies? That was super dope in Control.

Fighting in Control Resonant got boring real quick. After seeing the videos, I would’ve never thought that combat is the weakest part of the game. The limited variety of enemies only adds to the problem. Rest of the game is really good though. The vibe of Remedy games is unmatched.

Yeah you’re probably right. Forgot about the Red Dead 2 thing. But even with the game included it would be way too much. $250 with Ultimate Edition included MAYBE.

I'm not trying to defend this, but it was never announced as a Collector's Edition. It's just a merch drop. I could imagine there will still be a real Collector's Edition with a Steelbook.

I agree with you that everyone is entitled to their opinion, even though I don't think this rating can be taken seriously. The problem is that bonuses are sometimes tied to Metacritic ratings. Imagine missing out on a 90 because of something like that.
