8. WoW I don’t play this one anymore, but it’s given me some great memories bonding with my dad over it, since he was a big WoW player too ^^ My hyperfixation on this game used to be so bad that we used to joke that I was basically a walking version of Wowhead XD Despite this, I was very bad at it

7. Halo 2 This was *the* game to play whenever I had friends over at my place during my childhood and teenage years. Honestly nothing but fond memories of this one, both the campaign and the very loud couch deathmatch sessions me and my friends used to have. Very nice OST in this one, too!~

6. Metal Gear Rising I feel a bit cheap putting two Metal Gear games on this list, but this game is literally the reason I’m as passionate about music as I am, so I couldn’t possibly leave it out. Without this games insane OST, I may have never become the music nerd that I am today!

5. VtM Bloodlines This game is not only amazing, but it helped me bond with one of my very closest friends ever! 💛 I got into it because it was her favourite game ever, and it’s definitely gotten on my best games list too because it’s just a damn good RPG~

4. Killer7 This is the first game I ever played as Nixie, and it helped me get comfortable putting myself out there online! I think all the crazy stuff in this gave me lots to talk about on stream~ It’s also just such an insane ride of a game that’s really stuck with me throughout the years!

3. Dark Souls II This was my first Souls game, and it taught me to stick with experiences even if there’s a lot of friction at first! When I first played this, I was in a pretty depressed state in life tbh, and this game always made me feel better somehow~ Definitely still love this one lots! 💛

2. Resi DS This was my introduction to horror! I was a scaredy cat for way longer than my peers, but RE1 taught me that being scared can be fun, too! It’s really been the catalyst that got me into all things horror~ It’s still a weirdly cozy game to me that I love to come back to!

1. MGS2 This is my favourite game ever! When I first played this, it was the first time I was *really* pushed to think of who I am as a person. I still remember how I felt when I reached the end, and due to me playing it fairly young, I think nothing so far has had this drastic of an impact on me.

Absolutely agree, I love the first Texas Chainsaw and I think it has a reputation that’s completely inaccurate. People seem to think it’s a lot more graphic than it really is. Honestly I don’t think any other movie I’ve seen has an atmosphere that comes even remotely close to what TCM does ^^

One of my main ethical problems with the AI industry is the fact that its ability to generate writing, images and videos is only possible because they ripped off every artist to ever live. Without the work of the creatives it “replaces”, it wouldn’t exist.

I’ve been hearing a lot of people talk about AI like it’s a sentient Skynet-type entity lately. This sounds a lot like marketing hype from companies like Anthropic to distract from the millions upon millions of works they’ve stolen to create said entities.

I find it very telling that the people generating AI music are complaining so much about watermarks that flag their outputs as AI. The only scenario in which that kind of watermarking is a problem is if you want to pretend to be a real musician/band.

If people *really* want me and people like me to be less anti AI, they could consider not being super smug about artists being replaced and their work being scraped. Like, I personally think it’s fairly reasonable for artists to be hostile towards people who seem to hate them for no reason

I have, like 415 games on my Steam wishlist, and another bunch of games I own but haven’t gotten to play yet If you use Gen AI in your game, it makes it very easy for me to choose one of those hundreds of games that don’t use it instead
