I know about the minor cult this thing has in kwyrr circles; it would be interesting if at least 1% of 1% will make it as far as the discourse on the medical gaze while navigating the primary sources, however that would be a stretch since the shenis-women are largely stem-educated

I’m not well familiar with Butler, but a regular on one of the gc-boards I frequented a few years ago tore her apart, citing lack of originality in most of her written work. I had no clue she actually copy-&-pasted critical theory curriculum and presented it as her own deconstruction of kwyrnyss:

My best wishes to Allison Bailey, through this week, and pretty much forever after. Having chosen my side years ago, I have a lot of respect and admiration for the gеndеr battles of the rainy tеrf island, over and over again. One day, common sense will not have to defend itself in court.

Went OTT with the AHAs and the skin detox thing on Saturday bc. we no longer have any real UV here, so this morning started with 3 different moisturizers and a skeené crêmé… OMG I'm so *slimy*, like, my face is at its all time most moist. I feel like an aquatic villain from the Deep Dark Underseas.

I really wonder how much under the table cash JB/KH still owe to the trainsing business given all the fuckery that we have seen in the pre-47th years, because there's no other explanation why this even is an issue still talked about, still so fervently debated, including discourse on this app too

Fun fact: nominating and electing a raging TЕRF as a president of the bigliest democratic state republic would have given literally every axis of oppressed (that is not g1rldiсk) a better and more humane governing leader; but that would require giving terves a platform, and being able to compromise.

✧ Happy October 1st! We're a month away from Samhain. No new runic pieces from me until December, but I have some from 2024-25 that are autumn-inspired. #art #artist #artshare #artwork #fantasyart ✧ #Norse #folklore #mythology #futhark #runes ✧ #heathensky #occultsky #pagansky #witchsky #witchy

Digital painting of a rune Nauthiz, painted in the middle.

In the background, a somber Autumn landscape with a dilapidated, weathered castle are seen in the distance.

Digital painting of a rune Othala, in her inverted form.

The rune is painted over a background, consisting of cold, unwelcoming, rainy autumn woods, with fragments of a dark river mass. The dark, dramatic skies are torn into by a lighting strike. It’s raining; the heavy, massive rain drops are most visible at the top of the painting.

Digital painting of a rune Jera, posted here on a week ago.

The painting signifies an annual crossover between warm and cold seasons, with more emphasis on the autumn stretch of the year, since it’s meant to represent autumn equinox.

The background consists of a deciduous forest, going through stages of shedding; stray dry leaves are gliding in the air, following the wind’s motion through the image.

Digital painting of a rune Berkana, in her inverted form.

In the background, a sleeping autumn birch forest is painted under charcoal-grey, flat skies.

The rare rays of light, touching on the foliage, turn it from dirty, earthy ochres into shining leafy formations of bright yellow color, but majority of the image is painted in tranquil, foggy, muted down colors.
