Poster art, and green slime, for its own sake 😌 Now you share something!

It appears to be a cutout-style horror poster for something called “The Green Death”, centering what is shaped like a hurricane but green slime. The tagline “first you say it, then you spray it” is printed down the edge vertically. The footer reads “a Red Nixie fabrication”, admitting that I just made up a fake movie to practice some poster art. Let nothing stop you!

Hiiiii!! My favorite style to work in uses just one or two accent colors at most on a monochrome piece.

Poster for a showing of Atomic Cafe, an early 80s documentary about early Cold War Media. It looks like a house is unfolding and an eerie light is coming up from the cellar behind the walls. The tagline I went with is “A documentary without a voice of god”, referring to both the darkness/chaos of the subject matter and the film’s lack of a narrator.

Gill and Beck don't reach the bottom of the staircase, says the text in the frame - it reaches them. Yeah, something is capital W Wrong down here. Stacks of crates fan out with no sense of perspective. A figure in the distance is hanging by tubes from above, from something that was a normal tank once.

A section title, illustrated around a monoplane storming through some kind of aerial chaos in black and red. The section is Side B, featuring the story of a character whose name is graphically bleeped out. Below this title image is a line of dialogue from the character referred to only as the Surveyor: "I tried knocking, several times, didn't hear anything. Got worried."

Pretender Photon is my old prose story that I adapted into a feature-length script as an exercise when learning to write scripts. It involves 3 undead queer moms locked in IMMORTAL KOMBAT and the whole cast having a crush on one guy. I made it a graphic title just for the fun of drawing text. #art

Inked in digital black and white, the title "PRETENDER PHOTON" is drawn in chaotic, jagged letters dotted with asymmetrical black starbursts. In the middle of the title is a life (death?) support tank of some kind with a brain floating in it. The brain is run through with a broadsword. One of the moms totally did this. On the tank, small, is the surname "Luna".

If you have been going through all these images, here is the aforementioned SIDE B. Inked in black, white and red, the title page of the flip side of a story in the form of an illustrated script named Red Says No (a fiasco by me, Ness B) depicts a monoplane beaming headlights through a fog of red pointies, some sort of spooky energy. Chaotic text below the plane suggests that the B stands for BLEEP, the noise that unfailingly sounds in the script instead of a certain character’s name. Their story, supposedly, follows this mid-show title page. If you followed this description, you deserve a medal.

Inked in mostly black and white, a red monoplane seems to have plunged nose-first into a narrowing canal, grinding its wings to useless nubs against the sides and leaving long gashes down the canal walls, halting just before hitting the turbulent water below. Above it, the blocky title of a yet-nonexistent book: "Red Says No". Above the canal, lashing red rays, radiating outward. Desert sand recedes from the jutting walls on either side of the canal. Following the curve of the water, additional hand-lettered text reads "a fiasco by Ness Ranier Beauchemin".

Inked in solid black, red and white, a small plane navigates with headlights through a burst of page-covering zigzag chaos. The title at the top of the page is, "Red Says No". A subtitle reads "fiasco by Ness B. etc. etc. etc...". The title at the bottom of the page, nearly crushed by the rest of the illustration, reads "Side B, for BLEEP's Story". Hand-inked black and white illustration of a crooked doorway labeled “down”, with stairs inside that yet look like they could be going either way. They didn’t used to look like that…

Indeed, something has been going increasingly wrong with these stairs. The hand-inked staircase descends toward a mysterious light source and the silhouette of a person. Print on the wall cautions: “USE HANDLES”. Scrawled graffiti next to it explains why: “stairs fuckin up”. Handles indeed hang from, uh, somewhere, on either side of the stairs. These seem to be improvised from perhaps belts, seatbelts…?
