I think I am going to be more formally withdrawing from mastodon soon, just because I don't currently find it a useful tool for myself. If you want to be able to contact me elsewhere, send me a direct message.

Why do I feel annoyed when I get too many newsletters in my email inbox but constantly follow so many people on social media? What's the psychological difference?

I think what I want from "social media" nowadays is a return to long-form posting. I'm almost never on here because I just don't want to wade through individual thoughts, and I don't want to post them often either. I think my "ideal" platform looks like one that has a feed of recent long post […]

Two months ago MoDOT held a public meeting where they told us they need to go slowly on Gravois redesigns. Today another person died on the most fatal road in St. Louis. MoDOT doesn't even plan to start bids for the redesign until 2029. They're partially responsible for every death that happens […]

I wish it wasn't seen as so extreme to advocate for removing highways from city boundaries. Look at maps of your city's neighborhoods by race and by property value, and look at where those match with highways and parks. In my city, St. Louis, some of the poorest, blackest neighborhoods are […]
