I have no real reason to have them other than I got bored during a bout of insomnia and did the MVAC test online and passed. Figure why not do the HVAC test and it was legit hard, required 40 hrs of training and was a proctored test. Took about a week of studying

I just got them so I could fix my own stuff. After getting a couple thousand dollar quote I spent the money on tools and then fixed all of my vehicles for about what I was quoted to fix one by a shop

I'm forklift certified. Probably spending lots of time fixing or building. I have my EPA 608 (HVAC) & 609 (MVAC) certs, GC license, etc now. I'd build a space for me to bring my tools, lifts, wood working equipment and use that stuff for support Net zero retrofits, and other building science stuff

Retail does great due to volume but it's hard on the growers. My brother had a growers license and made good money for the first couple of years until we realized that supply was going to exceed demand so he sold everything. OR had something like 7 yrs of supply in warehouses due to overproduction
