I got to see the most dinosaur-like bird I've ever seen in my life while trying to get outside more.

lmaoo I never ran into the group. I did run into a perscribed burn and it was very cool. First time actually seeing one! The event moved and by the time I found them, it was over and there was nobody rip

doing some cna training later today and while I'm not thrilled it did get me drawing to kill time for like the first time in 3 months depression is a bastard. I really need to get more time to do studies and whatnot more.

Finals have been killing me, but here is that alt version I found of that old drawing I posted a few weeks ago for #werewolfwednesday Still funny to me how a study ended up being a very last minute Halloween post for my Tumblr.

An old drawing from like uhhh october last year for #werewolfwednesday. This was a study I did for fun around Halloween-ish? And then for shits and giggles I drew one of those classic ghost sheet costumes you see dogs in on another layer and posted it to my tumblr.

watching An American Werewolf in Paris w a friend even after warning him multiple times at how bad this move is. And we had to pause it. Dog this looks like gay porn.

Still proud of how this #wip is chugging along. It's a three still series drawn from tv/film. 2/3 of the way done it just needs to be darkened FURTHER. This is one of my favorite scenes from The Old Dark House 1932. Kinda weird but funny that Saul has a giddy witch cackle. #traditionalart #horror

it's #WIP wednesday!! I'm still in project hell. This one's for a value drawing (no contour). This has contour sort of. Because I'm still trying to get the hang of Melvyn Douglas's face. It's basically going to be 3 stills from the The Old Dark House (1932).

day was kind of shit but by chance stumbled on a book on my tbr for 1 dollar w another book. Ended up grabbing a postcard book for alien resurrection and it's complete?? I'm lucky I guess.

oh I forgot here's a cropped image for privacy because it was for a casting call student short film. still find it hilarious I saw "symbol known in source material to bring despair" and then on the way home nearly got hit by a car twice while walking home.

rare moment where I'm hellishly busy but still have something for both #wipwednesday and #werewolfwednesday. This lil dude is based off of a cave painting called The Sorcerer. Dude is just a silly lil guy. I would do the full pose but I kinda ran outta space and my college deadlines are killin me.

FODDER FOR #WIP WEDNESDAY BECAUSE I DID NOT SLEEP! HERON! (Great Blue Heron) Love these guys so much. Along with their funny walk when they cross the street with you. Birds imo are one of the best parts of Florida.

Dropping these here because I haven't done some of this technical style stuff on paper before and I'm kinda proud of it even if it might not grade well.

Okay I lied I forgot how relaxing drawing horses is.

"yeah for the drawings you need all these extra details and concepts if you WERE being commissioned they'd all be separate TYPES of drawings, and it'd be way more than five. Oh yeah no blank backgrounds." My honest reaction:

Got some postcards based on old Florida fruit crate brand art. Website printed on the back is sadly non functional. Some of em I'm sending to friends and the rest is gonna be on a wall somewhere once I frame em.

I love being so hard to target for ads that eBay can only be like OOO YOU WANT TO BUY THE ULSTER COAT SOO BAD or it's just THE SCREAMING SKULL!

IT'S #WIPWEDNESDAY AND OCTOBER!!! That means I oughta throw something to the wolves for #werewolfwednesday!! I mostly sketch with pencils, but there's been a few times something I did in ballpoint pen actually came out okay. #artsky #creatureart #traditionalart

I have the other image in my phone somewhere where it's MEDS TAKEN. I threw this together years ago and figured some other people might enjoy using it to announce the good news to their group chats. Oddly fitting given my situation right now. When I threw it together the color got messed #bloodborne

Always a big fan of polychromy even if I'm beginning to resent how my phone camera picks up lights.

How it's going vs how it started. Redid the eye a bit, even though I should let it dry. Interesting to see how working in #krita compares to actually painting. #artsky #art #creatureart #monsterart #digitalart #traditionalart #wipwednesday

A black horse snarling rendered in oil paint. Most of the paint is in thin washes. The only thing out of the ordinary is the teeth which are more predatory.

A photo of an actively drawn krita file. This was the concept sketch. The brushes I used were from Sketch V2 SK2 from krita-artists.org. Rather than rearing back, this ended up following the reference pose of snarling in a downward motion that moved forwards.

nitecreature.bsky.social @nitecreature.bsky.social · 24/09/2025

Alright this is where I'm leaving it at for now so it can dry.

000

nitecreature.bsky.social @nitecreature.bsky.social · 24/09/2025

Woe! Nightmare w dog teeth upon ye. End result be damned I'm bringing this thing to life on canvas paper. I might be too impatient for watercolors, but now I gotta wait to work on the teeth and render more. #artsky #creatureart #monsterart #traditionalart #oilpainting #wipwednesday

Sometimes a horse is a bit more carnivorous than you'd think. Like a sliding scale between "small critter enjoyer" and "long lost mare of Diomedes". #digitalart #krita
