You are assuming: - a) he was in fact the shooter - not established b) if in fact he was the shooter, he did it for the reasons you outlined. We must all be careful not to assume his responsibility (guilt) especially if we are sympathetic until the justice system has ground through its process.

The UK economy has been flat-lining for decades. Neither Tories nor Labour can discuss this because they are both complicit in our economic screw-up. Eg. look up FTSE vs Dow Jones 15 years ago and now. The economy is what pays for all govt services and social services. "It's the economy stupid."

We should, before any new referendum, define (somehow??) a "proposed shape of government" with a strong draft constitution and a Bill of Rights. People might be more inclined to vote "YES" if they know what they are voting for. Yes I would want it to be a republic with maximum regional devolution

Duh! In 2010 the Dow Jones was about 13,500 and the FTSE 7,200. Today 43,500 & 8,200 respectively. Successive incompetent & corrupt governments - mostly Tory have presided over a flat-lining economy. Poverty and the misery it brings is on the rise so people seek solace where they can find it.
