Norgorber is murder! and poisons! and secrets!, but I think my favorite part was creating some new sayings for his followers, including "this is only the prelude," a reminder to those who celebrate a victory that their triumphs can always be undone, which is resonating with me a lot right now.

Finally, Norgorber, aka murder man (*cue the slowed down minor key instrumental version of "do you know the muffin man"*). I spent some time earlier this year writing "this is how they might have died" pieces about several Golarion gods in The Godsrain Prophecies so I totally get his vibe.

Embaral's fraternal twin, Obari, dealt with his heartache by staying on the move. I love that he would definitely make my list of top 10 Golarion gods to say YOLO, and that his love of adventure and challenge includes challenges of the heart (like long distance and forbidden loves).

That's why Embaral is also a god who gives strength to those who survive as an act of resistance and who persevere in the face of injustice and oppression. I was very inspired here by Vida Cruz's amazing essay "We Are The Mountain" and her reminder that survival is an action.

When I'm writing about gods, I always love connecting their personal experience with the causes and followers they take on. With Embaral, a sad lad with a lost love, heartache was always going to be one of his concerns, but sometimes our hearts are broken by the world and we have to keep on going.
