Ch. 11 of Unprofessional Conduct in the 41st is up! Kim comes home from the far bank with the week still in his jacket. A blue notebook, a black one, and a day he cannot make himself write. A date, and then white. #DiscoElysium #HarryKim #kimharry #UC41 #AO3 #fanfic

Ch. 10 of Unprofessional Conduct in the 41st is up 🕶️ First POV outside Harry and Kim. #JeanVicquemare tails him to the bar he knows. Harry walks past it, down six wet steps, into a room Jean has no procedure for. "Hope. Disgusting." #DiscoElysium #HarryKim #UC41 #AO3 #fanfic

Square promo graphic for the Disco Elysium fic Shelter in Place: AUTOSAVE — COASTROAD NIGHT by NiniNeen. Nine dark photos form a 3x3 grid, with bands of story tags above and below. Top row: red tail-lights glowing on a wet road at dusk; a close-up of a car speedometer in orange, the needle past 180 km/h; and a coupe seen from behind on a night road, its tail-lights streaking, city lights far below. Middle row: a car's back seat in warm amber light with a seatbelt across it and a fur blanket bunched on the leather; a black-and-white car window streaked with rain; and a hand lit hot yellow, fingers spread. Bottom row: a dark green window with a red-lit shape against it; two translucent red dice with white pips caught mid-tumble on a black reflective surface, sixes showing; and a fogged car window at night in deep red, a hand silhouetted against the glass. Overlaid across the middle row, AUTOSAVE in red and — COASTROAD NIGHT in white sit above the title SHELTER IN PLACE, set very large in widely spaced white capitals. New #DiscoElysium #fic up on #ao3! The Kineema's dead, the snow's closed the road, and Kim - the man with the spare fuse - loses the feeling in his hands. "Hands. Give them here." For once, the lieutenant lets someone else do the holding. M · one-shot · 10.2k #HarryKim #RedChecksAndOrangeBombers

Square promo graphic for the Disco Elysium fic Shelter-in-Place by NiniNeen. The title SHELTER-IN-PLACE sits large in the center, with smaller text below reading: Rated M, Angst/Fluff, M/M, Harry/Kim. Story tags band across the top and bottom: forced proximity, confessions, getting together, pining, touch-starved, protective instincts, car trouble, snowed in, high speed chase, radio silence, frostbite, and shared blankets.

Idk your setup (and Id hate to be "that person" recommending u a new tool like notion/airtable) but if u must you can plug a Google form to ur existing sheet so you can easy *add* entries to it in the future with custom fields. At least it solves the adding step a bit better. gl! ✨

Love this, should be pinned everywhere honestly~ Can I add an 11th: thou shalt take care before leaving critique with guns blazing, for not everyone takes to unsolicited feedback the same. Always ask first, before thy words find their mark.

Best gut check: look at your favorite fics. Do you love sprawling 300k epics, or do you reach for one-shots and two-shots? Write toward what you actually love reading. You have to enjoy the thing you're making too.

I know everyone hates hearing "it depends" but it really does. Slow burn longfic? 5-10k/chapter is normal. Short adventure piece? 1-3k tells the story fine. Personally 1k feels too short to me, I find 3.5-5k the sweet spot, but 1.5-5k is all totally valid depending on style.
