[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 23/06/2026Some more outpost branding passes: Airfield and Flight Control <3 #MarathonTheGame #Marathon #TheArtofMarathon 3582
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 23/06/2026Some more outpost branding passes: Processing <3 Theming out each region in unique colors and graphical branding helped player navigation a lot in this dense map. #MarathonTheGame #Marathon #TheArtofMarathon 2552
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 23/06/2026On Outpost I also did the same passes to large building exteriors in the map and applied, bespoke, graphical branding created by Dima Goryainov to every region. I would find key postcards of different approaches to each area and apply large color blocking and graphics. #MarathonTheGame #Marathon 1192
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 21/06/2026Greenhouse tunnels <3 Had a lot of fun implementing the palette team's maintenance tunnel kit and proving out it's usage here. #MarathonTheGame #Marathon #TheArtofMarathon 3887
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 21/06/2026GREENHOUSE <3 Lots of time spent working with the palette team, using their kits, and approaching different layouts inside each of the tent structures. Also again spent a great deal of time doing color blocking and large scale graphics across the region. #MarathonTheGame #Marathon #TheArtofMarathon 310314
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 19/06/2026Concept team approached regions in this way as well! Here's an early Bio-Research concept by Patrick Bloom: #MarathonTheGame #Marathon #TheArtofMarathon 21088
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 19/06/2026Joe Cross had a ton of aerial photography reference for Marathon. He liked how it flattened all the structures down to their functional forms so I figured for developing region-scale graphics, if it was all designed from the above macro view, it would feel good to run around on the human scale too. 1915
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 19/06/2026Field Maintenance! I worked mostly on each of the large building exteriors, platforms, and all outlying areas. I spent a long time understanding our art style here and applied an "aerial photography" approach to making all the lines and large form graphics and color blocking. #MarathonTheGame 113419
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 19/06/2026I spent quite a lot of time going through each region of the game and applied large, bespoke, graphical branding created by Patrick Bloom to every region in Dire Marsh. I would find key postcards of different approaches to each area and apply large color blocking and graphics. #MarathonTheGame 414110
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 19/06/2026COMPLEX! This area was so fun to work on and where I really started understanding our art style and translating the graphic realism to a 3D game environment. I spent lots of time applying Patrick Bloom's amazing graphics to all the walls and figuring out layouts and color blocking. #MarathonTheGame 215312
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 19/06/2026MORE cryo-archive <3 Dima once again provided this insane cable bag concept connected to the panopticon that I got to bring to life in-game! I ended up spending an equal amount of time on them as the panopticon itself. it was a really fun part of development, they turned out cool :3 #MarathonTheGame 416316
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 18/06/2026I am SO happy that I worked with Dima Goryainov many times on this project and helped bring his concepts to life in the game. Here's the panopticon at the center of Cryo-Archive and the original concept Dima developed for it. I hand modeled all of the in-game cables in Blender haha #MarathonTheGame 1530539
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 18/06/2026This might look like any other mundane hallway in the game, but this area I was responsible for implementing a "vertical slice" finished interior environment based off Patrick Bloom's concept. I worked with all the departments, inching our in-game implementation of the artstyle to the final look <3 427221
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 18/06/2026Going to start a thread of all the areas I worked on for Marathon <3 <3 first up: bioresearch #MarathonTheGame #Marathon 431493271
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 17/06/2026my warlock <3 (she poisons you and then feeds your soul into her gun) 51103
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 02/06/2026We tried to make the environment very reactive as well. Have you noticed the communication room open up when you have a contract? The pads also glow different colors depending on ready status and Elimination/Success 5522
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 02/06/2026I got to work on the new lobby screen and run preparation environments for Marathon season 2 !! <3 Never done anything like this before so it was a really fun challenge <3 3333131
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 02/06/2026it's june 2026 and i'm not dead yet so happy pride. shout out to women fr 🏳️🌈 72699

[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 26/05/2026hold on i forgot some really important witch bunny lore, if you could please consult the graph 📊 #ffxiv #oc 815421
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 25/05/2026YES! I talked about it a while back but these two books work incredible as a step one, step two in complexity for getting around the editor and learning GDscript: Learning GDScript: www.amazon.com/dp/180461698... Game Development Patterns: www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCZG1V5... 1100
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 22/05/2026A detail I wonder if people ever recognized, but the Loom actually has a sewing mannequin-like figure incorporated into the design and I was really excited about doing some cool retro-inspired translucent plastic material for it hehe 2815
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 22/05/2026probably my favorite vendor stage I worked on for Destiny 2 <3 I was given a ridiculous amount of time for this area so I got to go deep with shader tech to make the Loom reels process the synthweave thread ambiently and really make the space come alive <3 1012612
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 22/05/2026Vendor Stages also became a theme, I was able to work on sooo many across so many different releases <3 I was often brought on to do so because of my time working on the Farm and the Tower 612414
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 22/05/2026I've been very fortunate to be able to build so many different Timelost Graves in Destiny 2 haha it started to become a theme for me 12601111
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 22/05/2026one of my favorite areas i built in the tower was this hangout room between the Hangar and the Courtyard that could only be accessed through an elaborate platforming puzzle and vent routes c: I made sure to utilize the space for multiple activities we added the tower so people had reasons to visit 614914
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 22/05/2026MORE tower stuff i worked on. Did you know you can actually sit in the cockpit of the disassembled ship in the hangar? c: 415811
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 22/05/2026My entire professional career has been up until recently, Destiny 2. It's wild. I feel so fortunate to work with so many incredible, talented, inspiring people every day at Bungie and over the years since I've been here. Im so thankful for the experiences I've gotten, working on the Tower was so fun 326127
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 22/05/2026one of the first areas I ever worked on for Destiny 2, nearly 11 years ago now, goodness 30999170
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 20/05/2026they should have never increased the tweet word limit haha that being said: PURCHASED 1100
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 13/05/2026I still need to take portfolio screenshots of this space oops. I absolutely love seeing all these guides online and the mess of cables haha 2710
[eve] @ninehydras.dev · 12/05/2026these trick death moments were too damn fun to design haha >:3 7897
